Why This Role Matters
At Gemma Power Systems, our people power everything we build. As an Employee Care Field Coordinator, you’ll be at the center of the HR function on active projects and construction sites across the country—supporting employees, advising field leaders, and helping project teams succeed.
If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy being where the action is, and want an HR role that goes far beyond a desk, this is your opportunity to build a meaningful career while helping build the nation’s energy infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll serve as the go-to HR partner on-site, working closely with project leadership and the Home Office to support the full employee lifecycle, including:
- Recruit and onboard craft and staff employees — sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, and coordinating pre-employment requirements, as needed
- Own on-site onboarding and orientation experiences, in coordination with the Safety Team, that sets employees up for success
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records in the HRIS; generate reports and audits to support analytics and controls
- Administer I‑9 and E‑Verify processes in accordance with company best practices, and federal and state regulations
- Support benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee benefit communications
- Partner with the Home Office Employee Care (HR) team on training programs, compliance tracking, and recordkeeping
- Coordinate with Safety to ensure all required labor law postings are current and visible
- Support and guide the consistent application of employment policies and practices
- Act as a trusted resource for employees and project management, supporting employee relations, attendance and performance management, and the resolution of workplace concerns
- Conduct or support workplace investigations, maintaining appropriate documentation in coordination with HR leadership
- Manage leaves of absence (including FMLA, ADA, etc.) in coordination with the Home Office
- Support employee separations, unemployment claims, and off‑boarding processes
- Assist with 401(k) administration
- Help implement and support digital, field-based HR systems and tools
- Support unemployment processes, including gathering supporting documentation, preparing and submitting claim responses, participating in hearings, and coordinating with TPAs and project sites as needed to ensure timely and effective claim resolution
- Responsible for implementing and hosting employee training and development programs at the construction site location
- Maintain employee/personnel files and recordkeeping in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Support the development, maintenance and distribution of employee communication materials and resources
What Success Looks Like
You’re organized, approachable, professional and decisive. You enjoy people and consistently exercise sound judgment and discretion.
