What You’ll Do

• Caseload Management: Independently direct high-value plaintiff PI cases from intake through strategic settlement.
• Settlement Negotiation: Draft comprehensive demand packages, negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel, and participate in mediations to maximize recovery.
• Strategic Case Evaluation: Analyze complex liability, coverage, medical treatment progression, and damages; transition litigation-bound cases seamlessly.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, review work products, and mentor junior attorneys, case managers, and support staff.
• Department Innovation: Collaborate with firm leadership to refine SOPs, improve workflow efficiency, and elevate department performance.
• Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary trusted advisor, providing high-touch guidance and regular case updates.

Required

• Active California Bar License in good standing.
• 8+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience (with heavy emphasis on pre-litigation).
• Proven track record of negotiating substantial, high-value settlements.
• Leadership or mentoring experience within a fast-paced legal environment.

Preferred

• Bilingual (English / Spanish) highly preferred.
• Experience handling catastrophic injury, wrongful death, trucking, and premises liability claims.
• Formal experience supervising legal staff or junior attorneys.
