JOB OVERVIEW

Looking for a way to gain real accounting experience while you’re still in school? Our Dayton internship gives you the opportunity to build practical skills, learn more about the accounting profession, and work alongside experienced professionals who are ready to help you learn.

At Julian & Grube, we specialize in working with public-sector organizations across Ohio, including cities, counties, townships, school districts, libraries, and other local government entities. Our interns get exposure to real client work and an opportunity to see how accounting impacts the communities around them.

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO

As an Accounting Intern, you’ll work alongside members of the JG team and gain hands-on experience with real accounting work. You’ll have opportunities to work with financial information, develop your accounting skills, and learn how the concepts you’re studying in school are applied in a professional environment.

You won’t be expected to know everything on day one. Our goal is to give you meaningful experience, provide support along the way, and help you build confidence as an accounting professional.

A FLEXIBLE INTERNSHIP THAT WORKS WITH SCHOOL

This is a hybrid internship serving our Dayton area, with most work performed remotely and some in-person time in the Dayton area required.

Unlike a traditional internship that is limited to one season, this opportunity may allow students to gain experience throughout the year. We understand that school comes first and want the internship experience to complement your education.

• Pursuing an accounting or related degree
• Interested in gaining hands-on professional experience
• Curious and willing to ask questions
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable communicating and working with others
• Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Previous governmental accounting experience is not required.

LOCATION & SCHEDULE

• Location: Dayton, Ohio area
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with most work performed remotely and some in-person time in the Dayton area required
• Schedule: Flexible internship opportunity designed to work alongside a student’s academic schedule. Part-time hours, no more than 20 hours per week.
