RESICAP Real Estate

Senior Financial Reporting Manager

Atlanta, GA In person Full-time

Resicap is actively expanding its third-party property management client pipeline and is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager to lead the month-end close and financial reporting for our client portfolio. This role owns the reporting function end to end: leading a team of onshore and offshore accountants, serving as the primary financial contact for clients, and building the processes and controls needed to scale as the portfolio grows. The Senior Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Controller and partner closely with Resicap’s Chief Financial Officer and property management leadership on client strategy, onboarding, and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Own the month-end close and monthly financial reporting for a growing portfolio of third-party property management clients, including final review and sign-off on all client financial packages.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of onshore and offshore accountants: set priorities, assign client coverage, coach, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Serve as the primary financial point of contact for clients, presenting results, explaining variances, and resolving escalated questions.
  • Establish and maintain reporting standards, close calendars, review checklists, and quality controls across the client portfolio.
  • Lead the financial onboarding of new clients, including chart of accounts mapping, reporting package setup, and review of fee and billing structures.
  • Interpret management agreements and oversee fee calculations, owner distributions, and resolution of contract or billing questions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and client representatives on audit requests, year-end deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with property management, operations, and IT to improve data flow, system usage, and automation for client reporting.
  • Support the Controller and CFO with ad hoc analysis, evaluation of new client opportunities, and special projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with a CPA strongly preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years managing a team; experience with single and/or multi-family rental properties is strongly preferred.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to present to owners, investors, and senior leadership.
  • Track record of owning a month-end close and delivering accurate, on-time reporting across multiple entities or clients.
  • Experience managing offshore or distributed teams preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP and property management accounting systems.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable processes and controls across departments.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
