Job Summary

At SandTech Solutions we are committed to “Enabling Success” of our client’s missions. As such, we are searching for the right candidate to help direct system testing and validation procedures. This developer will be responsible for their day to day activities with interest in the final product being delivered. Primary duties revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance or upgrade interfaces.

Requirements

Must have high speed internet connection; A reliable high-speed internet connection (cable, DSL or fiber) with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload

Active Secret Clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in related field OR equivalent in IT related field/work experience

CI environments to include Jenkins

• Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions
• Increase the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanisms
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Create, maintain, and iterate on team CI/CD processes for new and existing services
• Enable our product development team to deliver new code daily through CI/CD Pipelines
• Establish, maintain, and evolve concepts in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for existing and new services

Release automation

• Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
• Automate repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.)
• Identify systems that can benefit from automation, monitoring and infrastructure-as-code and develop and scale products and services accordingly

Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to develop unit testing of code requirements
• Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of software engineering as they pertain to Web Services and enterprise applications
• Experience working on a variety of software development projects preferred
• Ability to communicate with other team members effectively
• Works with more tenured peers to gain an understanding of systems while conducting root cause analysis of issues, reviewing new and existing code, and/or performing unit testing
• Works with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing.
• Support and work alongside a cross-functional team on the latest technologies
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the team
• Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to improve automation of workflows, infrastructure, code testing and deployment
• Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement
• Propose, scope, design and implement various infrastructure architectures
• Brainstorm new products, updates, and solutions to continuously challenge and improve products, performance, system/data backup, security, and customer experience
• Remain up to date on industry trends, share knowledge among teams and abide by industry best practices for configuration management and automation
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Support and work alongside a cross-functional team on the latest technologies

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
