As part of our continued growth in the natural crystal and mineral specimen category, we are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer – Natural Crystals & Mineral Specimens to strengthen our global sourcing network, develop distinctive product collections, and identify exceptional specimens for our customers.

The Role

The Senior Buyer will lead the global sourcing and buying strategy for natural crystals and mineral specimens, identifying unique, high-quality, and commercially attractive products from key sourcing regions worldwide. This role will support Shop LC’s product portfolio, including collections for Mindful Souls, our crystal and spiritual wellness brand, and Shop LC’s specialized product showcases.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on mineral specimen buying experience, deep knowledge of international sourcing markets, and established relationships with suppliers, miners, and dealers.

What You’ll Own

• Global Sourcing: Identify and source natural crystals and mineral specimens from India, Africa, South America, and other key markets across Asia.
• Product Curation: Build distinctive collections featuring rare, unusual, high-quality, and visually appealing specimens.
• Buying & Merchandising: Evaluate product quality, authenticity, market demand, pricing, margins, and commercial potential to make informed buying decisions.
• Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers, miners, exporters, and mineral dealers.
• Market Intelligence: Stay current with mineral trends, availability, sourcing opportunities, market prices, and emerging product categories.
• Product Portfolio Development: Support the growth of Shop LC’s natural crystal and mineral specimen assortment, including Mindful Souls collections and specialized Shop LC shows.
• International Trade Shows: Represent the company at key industry events, including the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, to discover new products and develop sourcing relationships.
• Commercial Performance: Identify opportunities to improve product selection, buying costs, margins, and overall category performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with merchandising, product development, and show teams to ensure the right products are sourced and presented effectively to customers.

What You Bring

• Extensive hands-on experience in buying and sourcing natural crystals, mineral specimens, and related products.
• Strong knowledge of mineral varieties, specimen quality, rarity, authenticity, grading, and international market pricing.
• Established sourcing relationships and practical buying experience across India, Africa, South America, and Asia.
• Previous attendance at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, with demonstrated ability to identify valuable products and build supplier relationships.
• Proven negotiation skills and the ability to evaluate purchase costs, margins, and commercial opportunities.
• Strong understanding of international sourcing, supplier management, and cross-border purchasing.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally for sourcing, supplier visits, and trade shows.
• A valid US visa and the ability to travel to the United States as required.

Work Location

• Jaipur, India or Austin, Texas, USA, depending on the selected candidate.
