Your Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop and monitor supplier performance
• Plan, coordinate and conduct supplier meetings and reviews
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned product categories
• Take ownership of demand planning and inventory management
• Analyse sales trends, demand forecasts and market developments to ensure optimal material availability
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align procurement requirements
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with national and international suppliers

Your Profile

• Completed commercial or technical qualification, ideally supplemented by further training in procurement, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, procurement, or supplier management
• Strong product and market knowledge would be an advantage
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems
• Proactive, independent, and responsible approach to work
• Confident and professional manner with strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills and strong intercultural awareness
• Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken

• Bachelor’s Degree OR the equivalent work experience
• Ten+ years of purchasing experience in wire/cable or aerospace/defense distribution preferred
• Proven leadership in procurement strategy and vendor relations
• Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Customer Service, professionalismand sales technique
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Advanced ERP and analytical skills
