JOB PURPOSE
The Evidence to Influence Advisor is a strategic role within Advocacy & External Engagement, established to drive World Vision's evidence-based policy influence agenda. This position is responsible for curating and producing evidence products from in-house data systems such as AIM (Advocacy Impact Measurement) and CVA (Community Voice and Action), translating evidence into compelling influencing products, gathering external intelligence to identify policy influencing opportunities, and building the capacity of identified stakeholders to engage effectively in advocacy and policy processes.
Collaborating and Advocating for Broader Impact as a core imperative of Our Promise Phase Three – Bold Hope for Children. In response to the call to address the root causes of challenges facing children through context-driven and locally led approaches, this position plays a critical role in translating Shift 3 ambitions into action. It supports regional and field offices to embed unified, data-driven advocacy—grounded in children’s voices—into national strategies and integrated programming frameworks.
The role ensures that advocacy is not fragmented or ad hoc, but prioritised, intentional, and aligned with a clear set of partnership-wide advocacy child results that drive accountability, coherence, and influence.
Through hands-on advisory support, the position strengthens the integration of advocacy across strategies, programmes, and evidence systems, enabling National Offices to move from dispersed efforts to high-impact, results-driven policy and systems influence at scale. It promotes stronger strategic discipline through the application of advocacy theories of change, other analytical tools political economy analysis, and effective use of data and evidence, including AIM and child-led insights.
By fostering strategic partnerships and improving the consistency of advocacy monitoring and learning, the role contributes to positioning World Vision as a leading, trusted Christian, child-focused humanitarian organisation—recognized for achieving sustainable impact for children through influencing policy, investment, and systems change from local to global levels, including in fragile and protracted contexts.
