Purpose
We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Project Systems & Information Management. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Markham, Ontario.
As a Project Information Manager, you will lead the planning, implementation, integration, and ongoing management of information systems across complex capital projects. Working as an active member of the project management team, you will help enable efficient, data-driven project delivery by ensuring accurate information, documents, and project data are available to the right stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
For the TC Energy Ontario Pumped Storage Project, the Project Information Manager will serve as the primary coordination point for project information management and project delivery systems. The role will translate TC Energy’s contractual and project-specific information requirements into practical plans, systems, workflows, governance controls, and implementation activities across Worley, project partners, subcontractors, and the customer organization.
You will champion the effective use of integrated and cost-conscious technology, establish fit-for-purpose information management practices, and align project systems with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and project execution priorities. Through strong collaboration with project teams, customers, technology specialists, and internal functions, you will help create a connected information environment that supports engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final data handover.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the project information management strategy, including systems planning, configuration, deployment, governance, support, and continuous improvement.
Translate project execution requirements, customer expectations, and contractual data requirements into practical information management plans, workflows, standards, and system solutions.
Maintain traceability of project information requirements to the applicable contract, customer standards, and approved project plans; identify gaps, ambiguities, or new requirements and coordinate their clarification and assessment as potential scope changes before implementation.
Lead the coordination, governance and integration of project delivery systems across engineering, procurement, project controls, construction, commissioning, document control, BIM, and information technology, including interfaces among Worley, TC Energy, project partners, and subcontractors.
Establish and maintain an integrated project information environment that supports effective collaboration, reliable reporting, controlled information exchange, and data-centric project execution, via approved systems of record, common data environments, information repositories, system interfaces, and controlled information-exchange workflows across Worley, TC Energy, project partners, and subcontractors.
Coordinate the use and integration of engineering design and data systems, including computer-aided design, engineering design systems, engineering data management platforms, and related applications.
Support project systems used for estimating, planning, cost control, progress measurement, procurement, construction management, commissioning, document management, and project reporting.
Define and manage project data structures, information workflows, system interfaces, access requirements, data-exchange protocols, and data-quality expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Define and coordinate project information handover and closeout requirements, including deliverable formats, metadata, asset information, validation criteria, responsibilities, and transfer workflows, to support complete, traceable, and contract-compliant handover aligned with customer and operational needs.
Apply relevant data modelling and industry information standards, including Class Libraries, CFIHOS, BIM, and other applicable customer or project-specific requirements.
Manage project collaboration environments, including SharePoint sites, permissions, and access for internal and external stakeholders, working with information technology teams when required.
Coordinate third-party-hosted systems, enterprise applications, project information infrastructure, and interfaces between customer and project delivery platforms.
Establish and monitor information management controls that support data quality, document traceability, version control, metadata compliance, secure access, and consistent use of approved project systems; coordinate corrective actions where non-compliance or information-quality issues are identified.
Partner with project leadership and functional teams to understand delivery challenges, identify information gaps, and implement practical solutions that improve project execution.
Build strong working relationships with customers and project stakeholders, communicating technical information clearly and ensuring information management solutions remain aligned with project objectives.
Support project management teams with reporting, dashboards, data analysis, and the presentation of reliable project information for operational and strategic decision-making.
Monitor system performance and user adoption, resolve issues, and coordinate enhancements, training, or support needed to improve the effectiveness of project information systems.
Promote agile, collaborative, and service-oriented ways of working while balancing project priorities, customer expectations, technical requirements, and delivery deadlines.
Prepare and deliver presentations, written guidance, and technical documentation for internal teams, customers, and other project stakeholders.
Demonstrate visible leadership in Life and contribute to a culture in which risks are identified, information is managed responsibly, and work is completed safely and sustainably.
Coordinate information-management activities effectively across geographically dispersed offices, project partners, subcontractors, and virtual teams, establishing aligned work processes, system access, data-exchange protocols, and clear responsibilities to support effective project worksharing; travel to project sites, customer locations, or other Worley offices as required.
