This high-priority Key Personnel role manages scope, schedule, resources, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder coordination for a complex task order supporting executive and congressional reporting.
Why this role matters
The Task Order Project Manager provides the management discipline that keeps recurring reports, rapid-turn requests, data-review activities, and visualization products aligned with DLA priorities. The role works with the Program Manager, Contracting Officer, Government task managers, DLA leadership, and customer representatives to maintain timely and effective performance.
What you will do
- Manage the task order and ensure technical solutions, schedules, resources, and deliverables are implemented in a timely manner.
- Assist the Program Manager in coordinating with the Contracting Officer, task-order managers, Government management personnel, and customer-agency representatives.
- Develop and maintain the project plan and schedule for recurring reporting, ad hoc engagement products, data review, analysis, and new requirements.
- Lead contract kick-off activities and present the management approach for scope, schedule, staffing, resources, and Key Personnel continuity.
- Prepare monthly status reports covering accomplishments, deliverable progress, issues, upcoming activities, labor or funding status, and travel when applicable.
- Conduct in-process reviews and other management briefings to communicate contract status, risks, dependencies, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate submission and acceptance of contract deliverables with the Contracting Officer's Representative and Government program office.
- Manage stakeholder communications and keep DLA Legislative Affairs leadership informed of progress, decisions, and emerging requirements.
- Support personnel onboarding, nondisclosure agreements, access coordination, and required task-order administration.
Required qualifications
- A recognized project-management certification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or another recognized certification.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience.
- At least five (5) years of leadership experience with progressively increasing responsibility in public- or private-sector IT and/or consulting.
- A BS or BA degree; four (4) additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
- An IT-II security clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.
- A relevant certification from a nationally recognized authority.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex work, schedules, resources, deliverables, risks, and senior stakeholder communications.
Specialized knowledge and operating context
- Experience managing data analysis, data visualization, executive reporting, technology, or comparable professional-services work is strongly relevant to the PWS.
- Ability to produce clear project plans, schedules, status reports, executive briefings, and in-process review materials.
- Strong leadership, organization, written communication, issue resolution, and customer-management skills.
- Experience supporting DoD, DLA, legislative affairs, congressional reporting, or another high-visibility Government mission is beneficial but is not stated as a mandatory PWS qualification.
