Zeus Packaging Manufacturing

Marketing Intelligence & Growth Specialist

Madrid, Spain Hybrid Full-time

Role purpose

To develop and implement a Marketing Intelligence & Growth capability across Zeus Packaging’s European markets, turning customer, product, market and campaign data into actionable commercial insights, targeted Marketing initiatives and measurable business outcomes.

The role will connect Marketing, Sales and Country Managers, helping identify growth opportunities, improve lead quality and prioritisation, and understand how Marketing activity contributes to qualified leads, sales opportunities and pipeline development.

AI tools will support this work, but the role requires a professional who can interpret the information, challenge the outputs, identify relevant insights and translate them into decisions and actions. The objective is to complement Zeus AI capabilities, not duplicate them.

Key responsibilities

  • Marketing and commercial intelligence
  • Analyse customer, prospect, product, market and campaign data across European markets.
  • Identify growth opportunities by market, customer segment, industry, product category and buying behaviour.
  • Research market trends, competitor activity and potential customer segments.
  • Identify gaps in market coverage and opportunities to develop existing or new markets.
  • Translate findings into clear recommendations and prioritised actions for Marketing and Sales.
  • Lead intelligence and pipeline development
  • Develop and refine target customer profiles and segmentation criteria.
  • Build and maintain prioritised target account and prospect lists.
  • Support lead qualification, scoring and prioritisation based on fit, potential and available engagement or intent signals.
  • Analyse lead progression through the funnel, from initial Marketing engagement to qualified lead, sales opportunity and pipeline.
  • Identify bottlenecks in lead conversion, follow-up and nurturing.
  • Work with Sales and Country Managers to improve lead handover, feedback and follow-up processes.
  • Evaluate lead quality and commercial contribution, rather than relying solely on email opens, clicks or other engagement metrics.
  • Marketing performance and growth
  • Establish a clear view of Marketing performance across markets, channels, campaigns and customer segments.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that connect Marketing activity with relevant commercial indicators.
  • Evaluate campaign performance, conversion rates, lead quality and cost efficiency where data is available.
  • Identify underperforming activities and recommend improvements.
  • Support the prioritisation of Marketing resources and budgets based on evidence and potential business impact.
  • AI-enabled intelligence and workflow improvement
  • Use approved AI tools, including Zeus AI where relevant, to support market research, prospect research, data analysis, segmentation and insight generation.
  • Validate AI-generated information, assess its relevance and identify gaps, inconsistencies or unsupported conclusions.
  • Combine AI outputs with internal business data and commercial knowledge to produce actionable recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Marketing workflows through AI-assisted analysis, reporting, research and automation.
  • Develop repeatable processes and guidelines so that useful insights can be applied consistently across markets.
  • Work in coordination with the relevant teams to ensure that Marketing uses AI as a practical business tool, complementing existing capabilities rather than duplicating them.
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Work closely with the Marketing lead, Country Managers and Sales teams across Europe.
  • Translate local market needs into intelligence projects and growth initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to both Marketing and commercial stakeholders.
  • Monitor the implementation and results of agreed actions.
  • Ensure that insights lead to practical decisions and follow-up, rather than reporting alone.
  • 12-month project plan and deliverables
  • The project will be structured in four phases. The first phase will establish the baseline and define realistic performance targets; subsequent targets will be agreed based on data availability, business priorities and the initial findings.
  • Phase 1 — Months 1–3: Audit, baseline and prioritisation

Objectives

  • Understand the existing Marketing, customer and lead data landscape.
  • Assess current lead management, reporting and Marketing–Sales processes.
  • Identify data gaps, reporting limitations and the main growth opportunities.

  • Initial Marketing and commercial performance baseline.
  • Proposed KPI framework, including lead quality, funnel conversion and pipeline-related indicators where measurable.
  • Prioritised list of opportunities by market, segment or product.
  • Agreed roadmap and objectives for the remaining nine months.
  • Phase 2 — Months 4–6: Build and pilot

Objectives

Put the initial intelligence and lead prioritisation processes into practice.

Test selected growth opportunities in coordination with Sales and Country Managers.

Deliverables

  • Prioritised target account and prospect lists for selected markets or segments.
  • Initial lead qualification and prioritisation framework.
  • Pilot reporting or dashboards linking Marketing activity to lead progression.
  • First recommendations and documented pilot results.
  • Initial AI-supported workflows for research, analysis or reporting, where appropriate.
  • Phase 3 — Months 7–9: Optimisation and expansion

Objectives

Evaluate pilot results and improve the processes that demonstrate value.

Expand successful initiatives to additional markets or segments where appropriate.

Deliverables

  • Performance review of the initial pilots against the agreed baseline.
  • Refined segmentation, prioritisation and lead management processes.
  • Recommendations to improve conversion, lead quality and Sales follow-up.
  • Expanded reporting on Marketing contribution to qualified leads and opportunities, subject to data availability.

Objectives

Assess the business contribution of the project.

Establish a sustainable approach for the future of Marketing Intelligence & Growth.

Deliverables

  • Final report comparing results with the initial baseline and agreed objectives.
  • Assessment of lead quality, funnel progression, campaign effectiveness and pipeline contribution where measurable.
  • Summary of implemented initiatives, lessons learned and remaining opportunities.
  • Documented processes, reporting framework and recommendations for continued implementation.
  • Proposal for the next stage of the function, including priorities, resource requirements and potential improvements.
  • Success measures
  • Success will be evaluated against objectives agreed during the first three months, taking into account available data and the level of influence the role has over each outcome.

Relevant measures may include

  • Quality, relevance and prioritisation of target accounts and leads.
  • Improvement in lead qualification and Sales follow-up.
  • Conversion between funnel stages, where tracking is available.
  • Marketing-generated qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Contribution to pipeline development, where attribution is possible.
  • Performance of pilot initiatives and their adoption across markets.
  • Quality and practical use of intelligence, reporting and AI-supported workflows.
  • The role will be assessed on the quality of its insights, the implementation of recommendations and their measurable contribution to business objectives—not simply on the volume of reports or AI-generated outputs.
  • Candidate profile

  • Location: Getafe, Madrid, Spain.
  • Hybrid working: Attendance at the office is required 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour flexible schedule for start and finish times. Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. without a lunch break.
