Position Summary

The Senior Director of Finance & Operations is a senior operational leader responsible for both (i) new facility implementations and integrations and (ii) ongoing operational performance across assigned markets. Reporting to the SVP of Operations and the VP of Finance, this role serves as a strategic operator who ensures seamless facility launches while also driving sustained clinical, financial, and operational excellence post-go-live.

This leader will oversee external site onboarding, internal revenue cycle readiness, provider credentialing coordination, and cross-functional execution — while also maintaining accountability for site-level KPIs including staffing optimization, case coverage efficiency, margin performance, and facility partner satisfaction.

The ideal candidate thrives in high-growth, multi-site healthcare services environments and is equally comfortable launching new facilities and optimizing mature operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of new hospitals, ASCs, and health system partners
  • Conduct on-site operational assessments (OR throughput, staffing models, call coverage, documentation workflows)
  • Develop and manage detailed implementation timelines from contract execution through go-live
  • Coordinate with Clinical Leadership to ensure safe, compliant staffing models
  • Serve as primary operational liaison to facility administrators and executive leadership
  • Proactively identify operational and financial risks prior to launch

Internal Readiness

  • Drive standardization of workflows across sites
  • Lead quarterly business reviews with facility partners
  • Address service-level concerns, provider performance issues, or workflow disruptions
  • Support recruitment planning based on volume and growth forecasts

Financial & Performance Accountability

  • Partner with the VP of Finance to manage site-level P&L performance
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for assigned markets
  • Evaluate contract economics and staffing alignment
  • Identify opportunities for cost containment and margin expansion

Cross-Functional & Strategic Leadership

  • Develop standardized implementation and integration playbooks
  • Provide operational input during M&A diligence
  • Build scalable systems and processes to support organizational growth
  • Mentor and develop operations managers or regional leads as the organization scales
  • Provide executive reporting to the SVP of Operations and the VP of Finance
  • Other duties as assigned

Performance Metrics

Employee will be measured on on-time and on-budget facility launches, clean claims submitted within 30 days of go-live, sustained site-level margin improvement, reduced premium labor and overtime expense, facility partner satisfaction, and provider engagement and retention. Successful launches combined with sustained post-go-live operational and financial performance define success.
