We support you to grow and learn every day, making sure that work brings purpose to your life, so that during your journey with us, you can continue to explore Accor’s limitless possibilities.

The Accor Salter Brothers hotel portfolio spans across 11 hotels, 4 states and in 4 distinct brands within the renowned Accor network.

We’re seeking a motivated and hands-on People & Culture Executive to support our Sydney CBD hotels and shared services hub. This role will suit a solid HR generalist who is looking to grow into a future HR manager or business partnering role.

With flexibility to consider either full-time or part-time employment, this is a great opportunity for a HR professional looking to broaden their generalist experience in a multi-site hospitality environment. Working closely with hotel leaders and the People & Culture team, you’ll play an important role in delivering practical HR support, strengthening workplace culture, and creating positive employee experiences across our portfolio.

You’ll be involved in a diverse range of People & Culture activities, from recruitment and employee relations through to learning and development, compliance, and portfolio-wide initiatives.

If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping people and businesses thrive, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while continuing to develop your HR career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day People & Culture support and guidance to hotel leaders and team members across our Sydney properties and shared services hub.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and talent development activities to attract and retain great people.
  • Assist with the interpretation and application of employment legislation, awards, workplace policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Support learning and development initiatives, including brand, service, and leadership training.
  • Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and culture initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Assist with workforce reporting, HR documentation, and the implementation of portfolio-wide People & Culture initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and team members, promoting consistent and effective people practices.
  • Assist the People & Culture Business Partner with employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes.

About You

You’re approachable, organised, and passionate about creating positive workplace experiences. You enjoy working with people at all levels, are comfortable navigating a variety of HR matters, and take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to your work.

You’ll bring

Experience in a generalist HR or People & Culture role, ideally within hospitality, hotels, or another service-focused industry.

A sound understanding of Australian employment legislation and modern awards, or a willingness and ability to develop this knowledge.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to support and influence stakeholders.

An interest in employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, and workplace culture.

Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.

A high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

Initiative, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Hotel experience will be advantageous, but we’re equally interested in someone with the right attitude, a strong HR foundation, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to grow your People & Culture career within a diverse hotel portfolio connected to one of the world’s most recognised hospitality brands.

You’ll work alongside an experienced portfolio People & Culture team, gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities, and build relationships across multiple hotels and brands. With opportunities to contribute to portfolio initiatives and make a difference to the employee experience, you’ll be part of a team committed to developing people, strengthening culture, and creating workplaces where everyone feels valued.

At Salter Brothers and Accor, we believe in creating opportunities for our people to learn, grow, and build rewarding careers.
