Reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing the operational risk management function within AIAIM, providing independent risk oversight and senior-level input into the design, assessment, monitoring and reporting of operational risks across the business.
The incumbent will partner closely with stakeholders to strengthen the risk management framework and coordinate risk reporting for senior management, the Board and relevant governance committees, ensuring effective risk oversight and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our high-performing team, you will
Drive the development, enhancement and ongoing maintenance of AIAIM’s operational risk management framework, including risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), risk indicators, risk event management and other risk governance tools.
Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor and mitigate operational risks, ensuring key risk exposures are appropriately managed and escalated where necessary.
Lead the preparation and coordination of risk reporting and governance materials for Senior Management, the Board and relevant committees, providing clear insights into risk trends, emerging issues and mitigation actions.
Provide independent second-line risk oversight across key operational risk domains, including outsourcing, third-party risk, business continuity management, cyber and technology risks, while ensuring alignment with Group frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate RCSA exercises, thematic reviews and control assessments, leveraging risk data and analytics to evaluate control effectiveness and strengthen the overall risk environment.
Lead and coordinate key risk governance activities, including Control Environment Assessments (CEA), Risk Management and Compliance Certifications (RMCC), and risk management reporting to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Support the assessment and implementation of regulatory developments and Group risk initiatives, partnering with stakeholders to perform gap analyses and drive remediation plans where required.
Investigate risk events and incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and work with stakeholders to implement sustainable corrective actions that enhance operational resilience and protect clients’ interests.
Promote a strong risk culture across the organisation through risk awareness initiatives, stakeholder engagement and advisory support on operational risk matters.
Oversee risk governance processes, ensuring local policies, controls, risk limits, metrics and reporting requirements remain effective and aligned with Group standards.
Maintain and enhance risk management data and records within the Group’s governance, risk and compliance systems, ensuring the quality and integrity of risk information.
Collaborate closely with Group Risk, business units, auditors, regulators and other key stakeholders to support risk-related reviews, initiatives and continuous improvement of AIAIM’s risk management practices.
Provide constructive challenge and independent oversight to business units and management teams, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, monitored and managed on an ongoing basis.
Support the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer in strengthening AIAIM’s operational risk framework and ensuring Senior Management and the Board receive timely, accurate and meaningful insights into the organisation’s risk profile.
