Senior Software Engineer, Security

THE ROLE We're a small, senior engineering team, and security sits at the centre of what we deliver. Our customers are some of the most regulated organisations in the world, and their security and quality teams look closely at everything we ship.

You'll own how we keep the platform and our customers' data secure, and make that easy to prove. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own application and cloud security across the platform, from design review to production. - Build and run identity and access: SSO, OAuth, tenant isolation and least-privilege access. - Lead customer security reviews alongside our commercial team. - Drive our compliance programmes and keep the evidence behind them current. - Set up monitoring, incident response and secure-by-default tooling the rest of the team can rely on.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Several years as a software engineer, with real depth in security. - Hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS, with infrastructure as code and CI/CD. - Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks, and comfort explaining controls to auditors and customers. - Good judgement about risk. You know what to fix now and what can wait. - Low ego. You listen first and work toward consensus.

NICE TO HAVE - Experience in a regulated industry such as life sciences, healthcare or finance. - Depth in identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC. HOW WE WORK Small team, low process, high trust. Two-week release cadence, design specs reviewed carefully, and an active resistance to ticket sprawl. Based in New York City, with daily overlap across a team that spans Pacific Time to Western Europe. WHY JOIN Our goal is to cut years off clinical development timelines.
