Principal Product Manager, Worldwide Grocery Growth & Development

Austin, TX In person Full-time

Worldwide Retail Growth & Development (WWRGD) is charting an ambitious path to grow Amazon Grocery and Whole Foods Market at an unprecedented pace. We call it Blueprint to Scale, a full-scale transformation spanning people, process, and technology that will redefine how we prioritize, plan, and deliver new grocery stores and formats across channels worldwide. We are seeking a Principal-level Product Management leader to own and drive this transformation end-to-end.

Rhythm of Business & Operating Mechanisms: - Own WWRGD's rhythm of business (RoB), including WBRs, MBRs, QBRs, planning cycles, and executive reviews that connect store-level performance to strategic decision-making. - Design and operationalize mechanisms that create transparency, drive accountability, and enable data-driven prioritization across the portfolio of grocery stores and growth initiatives. - Ensure the right inputs, escalation paths, and decision frameworks are in place so that leadership can allocate resources effectively at speed and scale.

Cross-Functional & Pan-Amazon Alignment: - Serve as the connective tissue between WWRGD and partner teams across Amazon, including Real. Estate, Store Operations, Supply Chain, Technology, Finance, and Grocery business lines to ensure coordinated execution of the scaling plan. - Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior leaders across the organization; influence without authority to align competing priorities and drive shared outcomes. - Identify and remove systemic blockers that slow cross-organizational delivery; propose and implement structural solutions.

People & Organizational Development: - Assess and evolve organizational capabilities (talent, skills, structure) needed to operate at the target scale. - Champion a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer obsession across WWRGD. - Mentor and develop team members; raise the bar on program management and strategic thinking across the organization. - Exhibit strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. - Bachelor's degree - 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience - 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience - Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level - 6+ years of retail or operations, or 6+ years of retail, grocery, or customer-facing experience - Experience driving transformation in a high-growth, rapid-scaling environment where new store/location openings were a core growth lever Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
