Amazon Technology/Software

Sr. Front End Engineer, AWS Solutions

Seattle, WA In person Full-time

AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) is building toward a future where every business innovates with Amazon AI teammates. To get there, we build AI solutions that improve human capabilities and transform entire business functions. We create end-to-end products that surprise and delight out-of-the-box, making complex things easy and hard things possible, with no cloud experience required. We start with customers who embrace the future and build bridges to meet the rest where they are.

We pursue ambitious opportunities with conviction, and we are looking for builders who share that mindset. AI agents are becoming teammates: they take on work, act on people's behalf, and hand results back for review. The interfaces for that kind of collaboration are still being invented. We're building a design system for human-AI collaboration: the components, patterns, and tools that AWS solutions use to create experiences that are simple, trustworthy, and accessible.

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you'll be a technical lead for the system. You'll shape its architecture, build new interaction patterns for working with AI, and help product teams adopt the system and ship. You'll also help make the system easy for AI coding tools to build with, so that agent-generated code is correct and consistent with the system. This is an early, fast-moving team. The business problems are clear; many of the technical answers are not, and you'll help define them.

Key job responsibilities - Lead the technical design and delivery of complex components and interaction patterns for human-AI collaboration - Own architecture decisions across the system's libraries, balancing near-term needs with long-term health - Work hands-on with product teams to adopt the system, unblock launches, and feed what you learn back into it - Set and uphold the quality bar for production readiness, testing, documentation, and accessibility - Improve how AI coding tools consume and build with the system - Mentor engineers, review designs and code, and partner closely with designers and product managers A day in the life We're a team of designers, engineers, and researchers building the foundation for AI-native experiences in AWS products, and we build with AI tools every day.
