We are seeking a Principal TPM to help us build a marketplace that helps sellers and brands discover and engage with the breadth of Amazon Advertising's partner community. Our marketplace will simplify how advertisers discover, evaluate, and activate our partners' products and services. For partners, our marketplace will be a storefront to engage with prospective advertisers, showcasing their differentiated value, and glean insights to meaningfully grow their business.
Partner Marketplace is the first stop to a multi-year program that aims to build a cohesive discovery and activation experience for advertisers and partners through shared infrastructure, protocols, and data. Building a cohesive marketplace requires strategic alignment across many internal and external stakeholders. As a Principal TPM your role is to own executing the program strategy by building the relationships that align executive leaders, driving the strategic and technical architectural vision with partner product, business and tech teams in tow, delegating effectively so the right owners carry the right workstreams, and leading the external technical discussions that bring our most strategic partner teams into the vision.
Key job responsibilities Drive cross-org alignment across executive leaders. This program spans across many product, engineering, and business teams, each owning their own domain and roadmap. Drive alignment at the executive level on scope, sequencing, and shared accountability, land the joint S-team/SVP level goals, and keep leaders converged as roadmaps adjust. Run the program's critical project review as the driving forum, and own the cadence that keeps our executive audience informed of progress, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
Lead architectural discussions across senior technical leaders. Lead the technical coordination behind an API and MCP-first architecture, the shared design library, and the activation protocols (signal schema, tokenization standards, permissioning rules, billing integration contracts) that connect the marketplace to existing and future systems. Facilitate the hard tradeoffs, drive decisions toward "build once, with extensibility at the core," and keep downstream teams aligned to shared protocols rather than one-off integrations.
Build and delegate processes that streamline and connect critical areas for simplification. Design the program's operating model: how workstreams declare and manage interdependencies, how decisions get made and recorded, and how the program tracks status across crawl, walk, and run. Build these mechanisms to scale and delegate ownership to workstream leads, simplifying and connecting critical areas rather than centralizing every decision in yourself.
Lead external technical-facing discussions with our most strategic partners. Lead technical conversations with our Solution Architects and strategic partner teams (tech providers and tech-centric agencies such as Pacvue, Quartile, Power Digital, and others) on integration standards, the developer enablement framework, API and MCP practices, free-trial integration, and the vetting and evaluation criteria that ensure quality and security.
Represent the program credibly to senior technical stakeholders on the partner side and translate their constraints back into our protocols and roadmap. - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 7+ years of technical product or program management experience - 5+ years of software development experience - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
