About Us
At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
About the Role
We’re looking for a senior leader to help deliver ANZ’s 2030 strategy by making workforce transformation simpler, safer and more scalable. You’ll lead the evolution of Organisation Design and Implementation (OD&I) service model, bringing together service design, process improvement, data governance, automation and change to help ANZ organise effectively, strengthen workforce capability and deliver sustainable outcomes.
In this role as Senior Manager – OD&I Service Owner, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the service propositions that underpin organisation design, restructuring, people M&A and career support. You’ll own the improvement agenda and work across OD&I, Talent & Culture, Technology, and divisional teams to strengthen the way workforce transformation is delivered end to end.
This role will suit someone who loves solving complex problems, simplifying the messy middle, and building practical solutions that stick. You’ll be equally comfortable shaping strategy with senior stakeholders, working through process and data detail, and helping teams adopt new ways of working with clarity and confidence.
Role Type: Permanent
Role Location: Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney
Work Hours: Full time
What could your day look like?
Lead the ongoing design, uplift and optimisation of OD&I’s end-to-end service model across organisation design, implementation, post go-live activity and workforce governance
Own and prioritise the OD&I Process & Optimisation backlog, ensuring improvement work is sequenced, value-led and aligned to enterprise and divisional priorities
Strengthen OD&I’s data governance, process controls, implementation readiness and reporting inputs so workforce change can be delivered consistently and safely
Identify and embed opportunities to simplify, automate and improve ways of working, including digital and AI-enabled experimentation where it creates practical value
Lead the continued evolution of business-led restructuring support, ensuring the tools, templates, guardrails and governance are fit for purpose and easy to adopt
Oversee process and governance updates across career support services, exit tracking, capacity management and employee support obligations
Build capability across OD&I by helping practitioners understand the purpose behind process, data and governance changes and by making adoption as simple as possible
Lead, coach and develop a specialist team across process, data, service optimisation, communications and change enablement.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Deep experience in workforce transformation, organisation design, implementation, service improvement, process re-engineering or complex enterprise change
A strong understanding of the end-to-end workforce change lifecycle, including business engagement, data capture, implementation planning, people impacts, system updates, payroll dependencies and post go-live controls
Proven ability to lead service optimisation or process improvement in a complex, regulated or large enterprise environment
Strong data governance and assurance capability, with the ability to translate workforce data and controls into practical delivery decisions
A track record of designing tools, templates, playbooks, governance routines and practitioner guidance that improve consistency and reduce rework
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and specialist partner teams to manage dependencies, influence outcomes and improve the end-to-end experience
The ability to simplify complexity, structure ambiguous problems and turn issues into clear recommendations, decisions and delivery pathways
People leadership experience, with a strong focus on coaching, capability building, inclusion and sustainable ways of working.
