Better Decisions Begin with You
At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.
Launch Your Career in Broking
Aon is looking for soon-to-be graduates and recent graduates to join our Commercial Risk & Reinsurance Broking Graduate Programme. You do not need to be an insurance expert on day one. Through our Launch Programme and on-the-job learning, you will learn how brokers help clients understand risk, navigate insurance and reinsurance markets, and make better decisions that support resilience and growth.
As a Broking Graduate, you will develop into a trusted, advisory-capable broker who can translate complex risk exposures into structured insurance programmes and serve as a credible intermediary between clients and insurers. You will learn to validate exposure and market analysis, support market negotiation, build direct client relationships and, over time, own smaller placements. You will also use AI-enabled tools and global delivery teams to clear routine execution so your effort can focus increasingly on commercial judgment, market strategy and client value, while preserving the hands-on experience needed to supervise AI and offshore outputs responsibly in the future.
What is Commercial Risk and Reinsurance?
Commercial Risk
Aon’s Commercial Risk team helps organisations identify, understand and manage the risks that could impact their people, assets and performance. We partner with clients across industries to design and deliver risk and insurance solutions, from property and casualty to cyber and specialty risks, using data, analytics and market insight to help them make better decisions and protect their business.
Reinsurance
Aon’s Reinsurance team works with insurance companies and other risk-bearing organisations to design reinsurance and capital solutions that strengthen their balance sheets and support profitable growth. By combining analytical expertise, market knowledge and global reach, we help clients transfer risk, access capital and respond to emerging challenges such as natural catastrophes, climate risk and changing regulatory environments.
How work is changing
AI and digital tools are automating processing, research assembly and first-order analysis; augmenting deliverable and proposal drafting, exposure and quote analysis, stewardship reporting, renewal coordination and routine coordination; and elevating the importance of interpretation, client communication, partnership, risk translation, advisory presence and relationship building. You will also learn how to validate, challenge or override AI outputs with judgment, and orchestrate delivery across people, AI-enabled tools, GCC and offshore service partners and workflows.
What You Will Do
You will join a rotational graduate programme within either Commercial Risk or Reinsurance. Across your rotations, you will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of our business, from trading risk in the market and understanding the importance of claims, through to supporting client relationships, placements and new business activity.
Analyse Risk and Build Market Insight
Assess client risk exposures using data, analytics, catastrophe models, AI-powered dashboards and market intelligence, applying your own judgment to validate and contextualise outputs across coverage lines.
Develop your understanding of insurance and reinsurance markets, coverage options, claims and specialist advisory services.
Conduct market analysis to benchmark pricing, identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate programme structures for clients.
Support Market Strategy and Placements
Help prepare market submissions, renewal materials, placement documentation and client deliverables.
Engage insurers, reinsurers and underwriters to help secure competitive pricing and terms, applying market knowledge where AI-suggested terms need tailoring.
Over time, own smaller placements and support account management activities, including coordinating renewals, reviewing contracts and maintaining accurate placement documentation.
Build Client Relationships and Advisory Skills
Develop client-management skills and build relationships that support trusted advice, client service and revenue growth.
Translate complex risk data into clear, practical client guidance, refining AI-generated summaries into narratives that reflect each client’s specific situation.
Participate in client meetings with growing presence and confidence, adapting your communication style for clients, internal specialists and members of the global insurance and reinsurance markets.
Coordinate Projects and Improve How Work Gets Done
Manage and support placement workflows across broking, account management, analytics, operations, AI-enabled tools, specialist teams, GCC partners and global delivery partners.
Review documents, submissions and client materials for accuracy, consistency, compliance and quality before they are used with markets or clients.
Identify and contribute process-improvement opportunities in the broking process, client delivery and ways of working, taking ownership for dependable follow-through.

- We process applications on a rolling basis, moving candidates forward as they complete each stage.
- Every application is carefully reviewed by our team (not by AI).
- Due to the high volume of interest, this stage can take up to two weeks.
- Please note: We do not review CVs or cover letters at this point.
Online Assessment
We understand you want to put your best foot forward, so you’ll have 5 calendar days to complete the online assessment.
If you need more time, just let us know as extensions are available.
Video Interview
- Preparation matters, so you’ll have up to 10 days (240 hours) from receiving your invitation to record and submit your video interview.
- Rest assured: Every video interview is reviewed by a real member of our recruitment team, not an AI system.
- You’ll typically hear back from us within 2-3 weeks after submitting your interview, though times may vary depending on the number of applications.
Assessment Centres (ACs)
- Our ACs are held in person at the Aon office closest to the location you applied for.

- If selected, you’ll have 7-14 days’ notice to help you arrange any travel.
- We run a limited number of ACs, so please make every effort to attend if invited.
- We reimburse reasonable travel costs (such as standard class train tickets). Flights and hotels are only covered if agreed in advance.
- At the AC stage, your CV and cover letter will be shared with hiring managers. This helps them get a fuller picture of you as a candidate, but these documents are not used for initial screening.
- We are here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need accommodations, just contact to our team - [email protected]. Good luck, and we look forward to seeing what you can bring to Aon!
