Create your best future and join as an Information Security Senior Consultant.
Location: Sydney-based only
On-site Requirement: 2-3 days per week in the office
Why On-site? This is a highly collaborative position involving regular face-to-face workshops and close team interaction, making in-office presence essential.
What’s the role?
As an Information Security Senior Consultant, you’ll help lead the day-to-day delivery and operation of the Security Data Services platform that supports Westpac’s cybersecurity function. You’ll facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage work through Jira, remove blockers and help keep priorities aligned across the team and key partners.
Additionally, you’ll support operational decisions, service stability and continuous improvement across the multi-tenant data platform. You’ll coordinate service operations and incident workflows while supporting the ongoing platform migration and ensuring delivery and tenant needs remain on track.
You will act as a key caretaker of the backlog, helping ensure it is operated, governed and used effectively. You’ll work closely with upstream and downstream teams, support governance and engineering practices, and may also deputise for the Application Service Manager when required.
What do I need?
Strong Technical Business Analysis experience with a solid understanding of data platforms, data engineering and end-to-end data flows.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks, alongside cloud data storage across AWS, GCP or Azure.
Good understanding of data platform governance, guardrails, access controls, control testing and multi-tenant environments.
Strong Agile/Scrum and Jira experience, with the ability to turn requirements into clear tasks and manage delivery.
Experience in service operations, incident and problem management, and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across different teams.
Experience with data platform migrations is highly regarded.
Previous experience in a delivery, operations or service lead role is an advantage.
