We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

About the Opportunity

Come and be part of our Financial Crime Transformation Program (FCTP) within Group Risk.

As Bendigo and Adelaide Bank continues to uplift and evolve its financial crime management capabilities, we are executing an enterprise-wide transformation program. The FCTP consolidates and drives critical uplift across our end-to-end financial crime ecosystem spanning Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions, and Fraud prevention.

We are seeking a proactive, skilled, and curious Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business strategy, regulatory obligations, and technology execution. In this role, you won’t just be gathering requirements; you will assist to develop and map the future state, challenging the status quo, and designing end-to-end value chains that protect the bank, our customers, and Australian communities.

As a Business Analyst in our Transformation Program, you’ll make an impact by:

Shaping the Future State: Documenting and optimizing end-to-end current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes, eliminating waste, and designing resilient operational workflows.

Eliciting & Translating Requirements: Facilitating discovery workshops and deep-dive interviews with business, risk, and technology partners to translate complex regulatory and operational needs into crisp user stories, functional specifications, and business rules.

Designing Integrated Solutions: Partnering collaboratively with technical architects, data teams, and compliance subject matter experts to design fit-for-purpose solutions that maximize return on investment and capability re-use.

Ensuring Delivery Traceability: Supporting Agile delivery ceremonies, defining test cases, assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring seamless traceability from strategic objectives down to user stories and operational rollout.

Championing Analysis Standards: Actively contributing to our internal BA Community of Practice, sharing knowledge, and uplifting analysis practices across the delivery team.

About You

You are an analytical problem-solver who excels at connecting the dots between complex regulatory frameworks and day-to-day banking operations. You thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and have the facilitation skills to guide diverse stakeholders toward pragmatic, impactful solutions.

What you’ll bring

Proven Business Analysis Experience: Demonstrated success as a Business Analyst delivering outcomes on large-scale, complex transformation projects—ideally within banking, financial services, or a similarly regulated enterprise environment.

Process Modelling & Optimisation Mastery: Deep experience in value chain analysis, business process re-engineering, and creating clear, comprehensive process maps (As-Is / To-Be).

Strong Workshop Facilitation & Elicitation Skills: Proven ability to lead stakeholder workshops, ask the right questions, navigate ambiguity, and document clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Delivery & Testing Acumen: Practical exposure to Agile delivery environments, backlog refinement, sprint cycles, and supporting UAT execution and business change readiness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical or regulatory concepts into plain language for diverse audiences.

Financial Crime Awareness (Desirable): Prior exposure to or familiarity with Financial Crime concepts (AML/CTF, Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Due Diligence, or Fraud) is highly regarded, though not strictly required.

Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in a Business, Information Technology, or related discipline is an advantage.
