Supervisor, Nursing Education (GBS)

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Supervisor, Nursing Education (GBS) partners with nursing leadership to support the implementation, ongoing delivery, and evaluation of nursing education and professional practice programs across Bon Secours Mercy Health. This role provides leadership and operational oversight for Nursing Professional Development Project Coordinators and Nursing Virtual Learning Coordinators, supporting learning, quality, and education initiatives that advance professional nursing practice, workforce development, and patient care outcomes in partnership with nursing leadership.

Essential Job Functions

Supports system nursing education and professional development programs, such as virtual clinical orientation, and other system professional development programs across Bon Secours Mercy Health

Provides leadership for teams that deliver educational support services aligned with organizational and nursing strategic goals.

Ensures teams support administrative activities, tracking completion of training programs, data analysis and reporting, monitoring and escalating trends, evidence-based practice requests as directed by stateside nursing leadership teams

Provides leadership for education content updates and virtual training delivery including compliance with continuing education requirements and programs

Ensures teams support data accuracy including KPIs, dashboards, monitoring trends and providing requested reports to leadership teams

Leads teams providing administrative support for training programs such as American Heart Association and AAP life support programs, including processes for instructor compliance and feedback, training reminders, communication and other administrative activities

Maintains record keeping within Simulation and Training Centers including generating attendance and compliance reports

Ensures products used (ex. Lippincott) are updated regularly to ensure practice integration with BSMH policies and guidelines

Leads teams to support, create and audit nursing continuing education requirements for programs as directed

Collaborates with stateside BSMH nursing practice, education and research leadership to ensure service continuity, process standardization, and consistent execution of nursing education support services.

Licensing/Certification

Active Philippines Registered Nurse (PHRN) license through the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) (required)

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or internationally recognized nursing degree equivalent (required)

Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) or internationally recognized nursing degree equivalent (e.g. MAN) (preferred)

Work Experience

• 5 years’ leadership experience in a Healthcare, Shared Services or Global Business Services setting (required)
• 2 years’ experience in nursing (required)
• 2 years of experience with adult learning principles, educational assessment, program development, implementation and evaluation (required)
