Data Entry Analyst (CGM Support)

This role helps Ciena maintain accurate and reliable component pricing and sourcing data that supports procurement and supply chain operations. The position focuses on data maintenance, request management, pricing discrepancy resolution, and clear coordination with commodity managers and contract manufacturers.

How you will make an impact

• Enter and update component pricing, sourcing, and supplier information in Ciena systems and databases, and conduct regular checks to maintain data integrity and consistency.
• Maintain current component pricing and sourcing records to enable procurement and supply chain operations.
• Receive, prioritize, clarify, confirm, track, and resolve data entry requests from Ciena commodity managers, providing timely status updates.
• Collaborate with Ciena contract manufacturers to log, triage, track, investigate, and resolve component pricing discrepancies and updates in coordination with commodity managers and other stakeholders.
• Maintain clear communication with contract manufacturers and document interactions to provide visibility into issue resolution progress and ensure timely pricing data updates.
• Generate requested pricing and sourcing reports and summaries, and document data entry and maintenance processes and procedures to promote consistency and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with commodity managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to maintain seamless data flow, communicate data-related challenges proactively, and propose solutions.

The must haves

• Experience: Experience in data entry, data maintenance, or similar roles, preferably in a supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
• Organizational skills applied to managing multiple requests and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Utilization of data management tools, spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel, and enterprise systems such as Agile PLM/PCM, Kinaxis Rapid Response, and other procurement platforms.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in component pricing, sourcing, or procurement processes is a plus.
• Communication skills applied to collaboration with commodity managers and other stakeholders; fluency in English and Spanish.

• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
