Intelligent Workplace Experiences

We design, build, and oversees the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions, and software to capture, manage, store, and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. Establishes and builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately, and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required.

Develops technical tools and programming that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data and to maintain, defend, and update data structures and integrity on an automated basis. Creates and establishes design standards and assurance processes for software, systems, and applications development to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows, and storage requirements.

Reviews internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggests changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs.

Your Impact

  • Lead projects with limited complexity (e.g., shorter time horizon, applying existing architectures or models) from technical design through completion
  • Accesses a range of data through knowledge of Cisco database/data lake sources and knowledge of security access requirements
  • Applies analytic techniques and understanding of business problems and algorithms to validate, impute, transform, and index data
  • Understands correlations between disparate data sets and conducts statistical analyses to explore
  • Reviews and cleans data into a usable and scalable format and manages the development of custom data models with minimal guidance
  • Supports the development of dataarchitecture to process and store high-volume data sets
  • Builds and optimizes big data pipelines
  • Develops and executes new engineering features
  • Writes functional clean code and unit tests with minimal guidance
  • Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process under minimal supervision
  • Performs code reviews for others in project
  • Writes code to enable scale, reliability, and velocity in product releases
  • Contributes as an expert in securecoding principles and understands threat model of a feature
  • Applies working knowledge of databases, relational databases, cloud services, and scripting languages
  • Contributes to data quality and compliance, including cleansing and scrubbing of data, data integrations and data quality framework
  • Fixes issues brought forth from compliance reports
  • Utilizes internal security tools to flag issues to lead engineer • Designs automation and monitoring features of frameworks that capture metrics for data pipeline quality and performance
  • Collects information and works with data scientists to support the business and to understand issues
  • Suggests the most effective data analysis and tools and develops clear and actionable problem statements
  • Communicates analytical findings, including through reports, briefings, presentations, and data visualization
