Senior Full Stack Java Developer w/AWS About the role As a Senior Full Stack Java Developer , you will make an impact by designing, developing, and implementing scalable enterprise applications that support critical business functions. You will be a valued member of the engineering team, collaborating closely with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and fellow developers to deliver innovative, high-quality technology solutions.

In this role, you will: Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and modern design patterns. Build and enhance RESTful and SOAP-based services, ensuring secure and reliable system integrations. Develop responsive front-end solutions using Angular and backend services using Node.js. Implement event-driven and reactive architectures leveraging Kafka, Spring WebFlux, and functional programming principles.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver high-quality releases. Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security across cloud-based environments. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices. Document technical designs, integrations, and data flows while contributing to proof-of-concepts and innovation initiatives.

What you need to have to be considered Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Hibernate, and Spring Boot. 7+ years of experience. Hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs, SOAP services, XML, and microservices architectures.

Proficiency in Angular (11+) and Node.js for full stack application development. Experience with cloud-native development and deployment using AWS services. Strong knowledge of Kafka and event-driven application design. Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL. Solid understanding of reactive programming, functional programming concepts, and distributed systems. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex applications and work effectively in Agile development environments.

These will help you stand out Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. Experience designing high-availability, large-scale enterprise systems. Exposure to performance tuning, monitoring, and observability tools. The annual salary for this position is between $ 62,500 to $99,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
