JOB SUMMARY

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the technical and analytical accounting functions to evaluate financial information and reports that encompass all aspects of the general ledger. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and IRS regulations, wherein the company operates.

Responsibilities

• Journalizes all daily bank transactions and sends out the daily bank balance report.
• Uploads positive pay and processes wire transfers and per diems.
• Provides monthly account reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts.
• Downloads, analyzes and records travel-related activities through CONCUR.
• Prepares monthly SG&A accounts analysis.
• Posts AR batches.
• Provides back-up to cash application specialist.
• Embodies the Coolsys CARES culture (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safety).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education / Training

Associate’s degree with 5+ years of general ledger experience.

Bachelor's degree with 0 – 2 years of general ledger experience.

Work Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Skill in operating 10-key by touch.
• Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
• Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and others' work schedules on a short- and long-term basis to meet deadlines and business needs.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
• Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
