Senior SAP PP Analyst

Houston, TX In person Full-time

Help Power the Production Floor Behind a 190-Year-Old Legend

Since 1833, Cooper Machinery Services has built and serviced the engines and compressors that keep the world’s energy moving. Cooper-Bessemer, Ajax, Superior, Gemini, and Altronic’s advanced ignition and control systems are names that matter in the field. Behind every one of them is a production plan that has to work.

That’s where you come in. As our Senior SAP PP Analyst, you’ll be the production planning expert for Cooper and Altronic. You’ll keep MRP, production orders, and shop floor processes running for global operations. You’ll also help shape the move from Cooper’s SAP ECC environment to Altronic’s S/4HANA platform. If you want to use deep SAP and manufacturing knowledge to make a real operation run better, and you want a seat at the table when architecture decisions are made, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

Configure and maintain SAP PP: Own MRP, production orders, capacity planning, shop floor control, and repetitive manufacturing scenarios within established design standards.

Turn business needs into solutions: Gather requirements from manufacturing, planning, and warehouse stakeholders, translate them into functional specs and configuration changes, and run fit-gap analyses with recommendations for IT leadership and solution architects.

Support the S/4HANA journey: Take part in design workshops, configuration, data readiness, carve-out activities, cutover, go-live, and hypercare for production planning.

Be the go-to PP contact: Resolve incidents and service requests for planners, supervisors, and operations users within agreed timelines.

Protect master data quality: Maintain and validate material masters, BOMs, routings, work centers, and production versions, and support data migration and reconciliation.

Manage engineering changes: Support BOM and routing changes driven by ECOs/ECRs, assess downstream planning impacts, and follow change master and change number workflows.

Test with rigor: Develop and run unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing across flows like MRP to procurement, production to warehouse, and order to confirmation, including interfaces with systems such as UKG, Teamcenter, Vertex, Medius, and OneStream.

Represent Production Planning on the Architecture Review Board: Review change requests and functional specs from vendors and teammates, and weigh in on release and change management decisions.

Partner across teams: Work with project managers, process owners, the PMO, and support teams, and keep documentation, configuration records, and training materials current.

Drive improvement: Use lean principles and data to find standardization and planning-accuracy opportunities across plants and business units, train end users, and mentor junior teammates.
