What you'll achieve

As an EHR Solution BA Lead, you will lead the Business Analysis workstream and own the business, clinical and workflow aspects of solution design across major EHR implementation programs.

Working in partnership with Product Managers and Solution Architects, the role ensures customer requirements are translated into scalable, sustainable and implementable solutions that align with both client needs and the strategic direction of the ANZ EHR solution.

The role leads the definition of future-state workflows, requirements, fit-gap assessments, configuration approaches and functional solution decisions while providing leadership, mentoring and direction to Business Analysts and Clinical Analysts. Through successive customer deployments, the EHR Solution BA Lead plays a key role in evolving and strengthening the ANZ EHR model, ensuring market requirements are incorporated into the regional solution wherever strategically appropriate.

In the context of solution definition and implementation, the EHR Solution BA Lead will hold the following responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the Business Analysis workstream across EHR implementation programs, providing leadership, mentoring, resource planning and delivery oversight for Business Analysts and Clinical Analysts.

Own the BA-led aspects of solution design, acting as the primary authority for business, clinical and workflow design decisions across the implementation lifecycle.

Lead discovery, current-state and future-state workflow design, requirements definition, fit-gap assessments and functional solution design activities.

Define solution approaches by balancing configuration, process redesign, enhancement of the ANZ EHR solution and client-specific configuration where required.

Own requirements, functional specifications, process models, design artefacts and end-to-end traceability from design through build, testing and go-live.

Partner closely with Product Managers and Solution Architects to align business, clinical, product and technical design decisions and govern client implementation blueprints.

Drive regionalisation of the ANZ EHR solution, ensuring alignment with Australian and New Zealand clinical, regulatory and operational requirements.

Ensure customer requirements are met through the standard ANZ EHR solution wherever practicable, while identifying opportunities to extend and mature the ANZ solution for future deployments.

Establish reusable implementation patterns, solution artefacts and implementation learnings that strengthen the ANZ EHR model and support product standardisation objectives.

Govern BA deliverables, priorities, risks, dependencies and quality outcomes across discovery, design, build, testing, deployment and hypercare.

Define integration, data migration and business process requirements, and support implementation readiness, testing, defect triage, deployment and go-live activities.

Identify and mitigate clinical safety risks, support cutover and transition to support, and ensure solution decisions are effectively documented and handed over to operational teams.

Essential Requirements

• Former practicing clinician with demonstrated experience applying clinical expertise to the design and implementation of EHR/EMR solutions.
• 15 years of minimum over all experience and 10 years minimum in healthcare, experience of implementing at least one EMR from start to the end.
• 12+ years' experience in Business Analysis, Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Technology or related disciplines.
• Significant experience leading Business Analysis teams on large-scale healthcare transformation programs.
• At least 5 years of leading sizable team of BAs.
• Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring, performance development, workload management and capacity planning.
• Extensive EHR/EMR implementation experience, including multiple end-to-end deployments.
• Demonstrated experience owning business, clinical and workflow solution design decisions within complex healthcare technology implementations.
• Experience in EMR/EHR product design, workflow design and solution configuration.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and Solution Architects to define and deliver enterprise healthcare solutions.
• Experience balancing customer-specific requirements with product standardisation objectives.
• Demonstrated experience contributing to solution localisation, regionalisation or market-specific solution development.
