Gas Analyst - Chinese Markets

Energy Aspects is seeking a Gas Quant Analyst to join our growing research team, based in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented analyst to develop expertise in Gas across Chinese markets. The gas analyst will support the development of our LNG and/or gas market views, working closely with the rest of the team to produce timely, high-quality analysis. You will work in an environment that mirrors the responsiveness and commercial sharpness of a trading desk: staying close to the market, responding quickly to new information, and in constant dialogue with industry and trading contacts.

The role requires intellectual rigour, commercially awareness, and the ability to translate fast-moving developments into clear, actionable insights for clients. A core focus of the role is contributing to LNG and EU gas research output that is timely, relevant, and decision-useful. This means producing short, well-researched analysis of market-moving events, with speed of delivery a key priority. Our reports, presentations, and client interactions should help market participants identify the most important developments, understand their implications, and spot the most compelling market opportunities.

You will develop short-term supply-demand balances, work collaboratively with senior colleagues to refine your analytical approach, and build robust, defensible market views.
