Product Category Manager – Services

Help us turn great products into great customer experiences.

At Epiroc, we know the relationship with our customers doesn’t end when the product is delivered. In many ways, that’s where it starts. We’re looking for a Product Category Manager – Services to help us rethink, build and grow the services that surround our product portfolio for the Ground Engaging Tools (GET) Business Line.

This is not a traditional service operations role. You won’t be managing technicians, scheduling field work or running day-to-day service delivery. Instead, you’ll be asking the bigger questions:

What services should we offer? What problems should they solve? How do we create more value for customers? And how do we turn that value into a scalable, commercially successful global service portfolio?

If you enjoy building things, challenging the status quo and turning customer problems into commercial opportunities, this could be a very interesting role.

What you’ll own

You’ll take ownership of the GET Services portfolio and strategy, working across Product Management, Sales, Operations, Engineering and our regional teams to define what great service looks like.

You’ll

  • Develop and own the global Services portfolio, strategy and roadmap
  • Identify unmet customer needs and turn them into new service propositions
  • Build services around areas such as training, technical support, commissioning, inspections, optimisation, application support and lifecycle services
  • Develop service value propositions, pricing models and commercialisation strategies
  • Define the customer experience and service model required to successfully deliver each offer
  • Identify opportunities for recurring and lifecycle revenue beyond the initial product sale
  • Develop tools and collateral that make our services easier for regional teams to sell
  • Work with Field Operations Excellence to translate service concepts into scalable global standards and frameworks
  • Partner with regional teams to launch, test and continuously improve new service offers
  • Use customer, market and performance data to decide what we should start, improve, scale — and stop
  • Help ensure services become an integral part of our overall product and customer value proposition

How the role fits

We want the accountability to be clear. You define the service offer. What services should exist, who they are for, the customer value proposition, roadmap, pricing, commercial model and the service experience we want to create.

Field Operations Excellence governs how services are delivered. Global operating standards, service excellence frameworks, governance and delivery consistency.

Our Regional Operations teams execute. They deliver the service, support customers and mobilise resources in the market.

Your job is to connect all three and ensure there is one clear owner for the service proposition from concept through to commercial success. What we’re looking for? You don’t necessarily need to have held this exact title before. In fact, there aren’t many roles quite like it. We’re looking for someone who can combine customer thinking, commercial thinking and enough technical understanding to connect the dots.

Ideally, you’ll bring

Experience in product management, services, aftermarket, mining, industrial equipment or a related environment

A strong understanding of B2B customer needs and lifecycle value

Commercial acumen and an ability to turn ideas into compelling business propositions

Experience developing new products, services or commercial offers

Strong analytical and strategic thinking

The ability to work across functions and influence without needing direct authority

Confidence engaging with customers and senior stakeholders

Curiosity, energy and a willingness to challenge established ways of working

An understanding of mining equipment, GET, buckets or associated applications would be highly regarded

Most importantly, we want someone who sees a customer problem and immediately starts thinking: “There has to be a better way to solve that.”

Why this role is different. This is an opportunity to shape a capability that we believe has significant untapped potential. We already have strong products, deep technical capability, experienced regional teams and a substantial installed base. The opportunity now is to connect those strengths into a deliberate, differentiated and commercially successful service portfolio. You’ll have the freedom to build, test and influence how we approach services globally, while working within a business that has the scale of Epiroc behind it.

If you’d rather create the playbook than simply follow one, we’d like to hear from you.

It all starts with people. The world needs metals and minerals for the energy transition and our cities and infrastructure must be developed to serve a growing population. To succeed, we need to speed up the shift towards more sustainable mining and construction industries. We at Epiroc accelerate this transformation, together with customers and business partners in more than 150 countries, by developing and providing innovative and safe equipment, digital solutions, and aftermarket support.

All new thinkers are welcome. We are looking for those who want to develop, grow, and dare to think new. In Epiroc we attract, develop, and retain diverse talent valuing authenticity and unique perspectives, driving our spirit of innovation. We foster an inclusive culture where diversity isn't just a goal but a part of our values and way of working. This is how we do business for a sustainable future.  Learn more at www.epiroc.com
