Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Extended Care, LLC Annual Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 About the Position Extended Care, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and, most importantly, prior experience in the long-term care industry . This position plays an important role in supporting the company's financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with financial reporting across our organization.

We are looking for a motivated accounting professional who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and journal entries. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts. Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper account coding.

Assist with financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Monitor expenses and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Maintain supporting financial documentation and accounting records. Assist with audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles, company policies, and procedures.

Work collaboratively with facility and corporate leadership to support financial operations. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting position. Required: Prior accounting experience in the long-term care industry. Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles. Experience with general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Compensation & Benefits Annual Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
