Job Description Summary
The Sr Engineer - Systems Architecture and Design is a senior technical role within PCS Hardware Platforms, providing shared systems-design leadership for Common OS and Common UI platform releases. The role ensures that both platforms meet system and product needs, comply with applicable medical-device standards and internal quality-system requirements, and are released with appropriate quality, traceability, risk controls, and technical evidence.
The role aligns subsystem requirements, architecture, interfaces, design controls, verification strategies, technical reviews, release evidence, and lifecycle decisions across Common OS and Common UI. The Sr Engineer works with System Architects, Product Owners, platform and component architects, verification leaders, cybersecurity, quality, regulatory, program teams, and consuming product teams.
The position coordinates cross-platform dependencies, compatible baselines, integration milestones, product adoption, and consolidated release readiness. The role requires strong systems thinking, embedded software and Linux platform knowledge, reusable UI platform understanding, medical-device development rigor, and the ability to lead complex technical work through influence.
