Job Description Summary
About the Role
As Lead Project Manager – Grid Automation, you will take ownership of a portfolio of concurrent Grid Automation projects — spanning Protection Relays, Substation & Distribution Automation, Monitoring & Diagnosis, and Systems & Services — from tender through warranty close-out. You'll be the primary customer contact for contract execution, driving on-time delivery, financial performance, and risk management while building lasting client relationships.
This role offers latitude to shape how work gets done: you can adapt procedures and practices as needed, provided outcomes meet expected standards of quality, volume, and timeliness.
What You Will Do
- Manage full project lifecycles — from tender through warranty end — ensuring strong outcomes in scope, cost, schedule, quality, and safety
- Serve as the primary customer point of contact, developing and sustaining long-term client relationships
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, contract administration, contract management, finance, and procurement to execute projects successfully
- Own on-time delivery, sales and cash-in realization, accurate forecasting, risk management, and customer satisfaction
- Apply project management best practices per the Project Management Handbook and relevant product-line guidance
- Provide monthly updates on action plans and sales/cash forecasts
- Prepare and present project reviews
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Operations department
- Champion EHS/safety performance — ensure full compliance with company rules and that project teams (internal and subcontracted) hold required qualifications and training
- Follow company compliance policies and promote a culture of open reporting
- Support the Commercial team during pre-contract activities, sharing lessons learned and helping optimize project costs and deliverables
