Investment Counsellor

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Investment Counsellor.

In this role you will

• Partner with Relationship Managers to understand clients’ investment objectives, risk profiles and broader financial needs, and recommend suitable investment solutions for ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, supporting the growth of client engagement and contributing to sustainable business performance.
• Assess client needs and develop comprehensive, well-documented investment strategies aligned with their objectives, risk appetite and suitability requirements.
• Coordinate the investment sales and execution process, working with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Monitor clients’ overall investment portfolios and provide appropriate reviews, insights and recommendations in line with agreed investment strategies.
• Collaborate with Investment, Compliance, Risk, Marketing and other relevant departments to support appropriate portfolio outcomes and ensure adherence to applicable requirements.
• Identify, document and help resolve business requirements, operational challenges and control considerations before the launch of new services or initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of risk awareness, conduct and client service, escalating material issues promptly and contributing to continuous improvements in processes and client outcomes.

To be successful you will need

Relevant experience in investment counselling, investment advisory or a comparable role within private banking or wealth management.

Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products and portfolio-related concepts, with a genuine interest in keeping market knowledge current.

Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to explain investment concepts clearly to clients and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Strong analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities accurately and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to work with investment-related information and reports.

Demonstrated integrity, sound risk awareness, attention to detail, willingness to learn and commitment to teamwork. Conversational Thai language skills are an advantage, as the role involves engaging clients from Thailand.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
