Job Title
IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.
The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.
Join us at IG – the future gets built here.
Your Team
This role sits within the PR & Public Affairs team, part of IG's Marketing & Growth function, and reports directly to the Head of PR & Public Affairs. The team is responsible for building IG's reputation across UK, Europe and Middle East - running the press office, delivering integrated PR campaigns, and growing IG's public affairs presence across the region. You will work closely with the Product & Marketing teams to align communications activity with commercial priorities, and collaborate with Market Analysts and Client Managers to generate compelling data-led stories for media.
Your role in the Team’s Success
IG is looking for a PR Manager to help shape and deliver bold, high-impact communications across Europe at a pivotal moment in the business's history. You will drive proactive campaigns, drive the PR programme, and manage agency relationships across our European markets - playing a visible role in how IG is perceived by clients and media, across the region.
What you’ll do
Drive proactive PR campaigns across Europe, from idea generation and briefing through to delivery, measurement, and iteration - ensuring campaigns are tied to commercial objectives and land with the right audiences in each market.
Manage agency relationships across PR in Europe, setting clear briefs, holding agencies accountable to quality and results, and making smart decisions about how external resource is deployed.
Partner with the Product & Marketing team to ensure communications activity is aligned to campaigns, product launches, and broader brand moments across Europe - acting as an integrated communications partner rather than a siloed function.
Work with Market Analysts and internal subject matter experts to surface data, insight, and commentary that can be shaped into strong media stories and thought leadership for European audiences.
Draft, edit, and review a range of content to a high standard - including press releases, messaging frameworks, Q&As, campaign briefs, and media pitches.
Prepare spokespeople for media engagements, developing briefing documents and messaging that are clear, accurate, and appropriately tailored to European audiences.
Track and report on communications performance across Europe, providing regular insight to the Head of PR & Public Affairs on campaign results, coverage quality, and opportunities to improve.
What You'll Need
- At least three years’ experience in PR, communications, or journalism - ideally from a fast-paced PR agency, in-house communications team, or national media environment.
- A track record of delivering proactive campaigns end-to-end, with the creativity to generate strong ideas and the rigour to execute them well.
- Experience managing external agencies or suppliers, with the confidence to brief, challenge, and hold partners to account.
- Strong writing and editing skills across a range of formats - from press releases and pitches to briefing documents and campaign plans.
- Comfort working across European markets, with the cultural awareness to adapt communications for different audiences and regulatory contexts.
- A genuine interest in financial markets, investing, and macroeconomics - you do not need to be an expert, but you need to enjoy learning and communicating in this space.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams, spokespeople, journalists, and political contacts.
- Fluency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian
Desirable
- Experience working with financial services, fintech, or other regulated consumer brands.
- Familiarity with public affairs - either in-house, through an agency, or via a media or policy background.
- Experience of integrating AI in Workflows or an interest in learning how to do so.
- Existing relationships and networks across Europe, including relevant media and/or political contacts in IG's key European markets.
- Experience using data and analytics to evaluate communications impact beyond coverage volume.
The perks
It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.
