Work is changing faster than any playbook can keep up with, and the people at the center of that change are our managers. As AI takes on more of the synthesis, preparation, and coordination that fills a manager’s day, the work that remains is the work only a leader can do: setting direction, making decisions, coaching, developing talent, and building the trust that lets teams do the best work of their lives. At Intuit, we are building the development experience that makes that shift real. Instead of pulling managers away from their work for episodic programs, we meet them in the moments that matter with personalized, in-the-flow guidance, coaching, and practice.
As the leader of Manager Development in People and Places, you will set the vision and guide a team of expert learning partners to build what comes next. You will pair the proven fundamentals of great leadership, including feedback, performance, and team leadership, with new AI-enabled ways to learn, so that as spans widen and ways of working evolve, our managers lead with more judgment, empathy, and courage, not less. You will also be the model: a leader whose own leadership shows every Intuit manager what elite leadership looks like. Your work will help every Intuit manager lead in a way that powers prosperity for our customers around the world.
Responsibilities
Be a model of elite leadership while leading your team. Lead, coach, and develop a team of learning and development partners the way you expect Intuit’s managers to lead: set a clear vision, build a high-performance culture, drive winning results, give candid feedback, and develop your people. Set a high bar for craft in needs analysis, program design, facilitation, and evaluation, and keep quality and pacing consistent as the team grows.
Set the strategy for manager development and define what great leadership looks like at each level in an AI-first company, including where human judgment, empathy, and accountability matter most, translating Intuit’s talent strategy and business priorities into clear expectations, development, and learning outcomes.
Lead Intuit’s effort to equip managers to lead through AI-driven change, including redesigning workflows, coaching employees on new AI tools, role modeling AI use openly, and setting clear expectations for quality, human oversight, and performance as roles evolve.
Sustain and evolve the core curriculum and coaching programs that build strong leadership fundamentals in feedback, performance management, and team leadership, including how to lead larger teams while preserving the coaching, development, and connection employees need.
Partner with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and subject matter experts to diagnose leadership capability gaps and co-create solutions. Hear regularly from managers and their leaders to improve program design, and use leaders as teachers to role model expected behaviors at scale.
Define measurement strategies tied to key people metrics that separate adoption from real improvement in leadership quality.
Use GenAI and modern learning technologies to accelerate program design and delivery, applying a product mindset to find the moments that matter and scale what works into the flow of work. Apply responsible AI practices and build AI capability within your team.
A proven track record as a model leader of people, someone others point to as an example of how to lead. This shows in how you set direction, give candid feedback, develop talent, and build a team that performs and grows.
8+ years in learning and development or talent development, with a focus on leadership and manager development.
3+ years leading and developing a team of learning professionals.
Experience designing, delivering, and scaling leadership development programs globally, using in-person, self-directed, just-in-time, and blended learning.
Deep expertise in adult learning, instructional design, coaching, and facilitation, with a practical focus on application over theory.
Experience measuring program outcomes beyond completion and using data to make the case for change.
Experience leading change and influencing senior leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional teams.
Hands-on experience using GenAI tools to improve learning design and delivery, with curiosity about how AI changes the way managers lead.
Strategic thinking balanced with operational excellence when executing at scale.
