Your Job
This position is responsible for translating project test requirements into executable, repeatable, and traceable SI test plans, and for supporting product design and process improvement through test data, failure patterns, and physical evidence.
This role is well suited to candidates with a solid foundation in electronic engineering, strong hands-on skills, and the ambition to grow from test execution into SI failure analysis.
What You Will Do
Test Requirements and Setup
Develop a thorough understanding of the project background, DUT architecture, interface definitions, test objectives, and delivery milestones. Coordinate with SI, product design, process, and project teams to confirm the test scope, port mapping, reference planes, fixtures/PCBs, cables, calibration, and de-embedding requirements, and establish an accurate and repeatable test setup.
Test Task Project Management
Manage the full lifecycle of test tasks, including intake, scheduling, sample and resource confirmation, execution, data review, report release, and closure. Promptly identify risks related to samples, fixtures, equipment, methods, or delivery schedules, and maintain traceable task status and records.
SOP and Test Method Development
Create, maintain, and continuously improve test SOPs, test setups, instrument configurations, naming conventions, data storage practices, and report templates. Verify test-system stability through repeatability studies, golden samples, GR&R, or other applicable methods.
SI Test Execution and Data Analysis
Perform VNA, TDR/TDT, and other SI tests independently or under guidance. Correctly process S-parameter and mixed-mode data; analyze impedance, insertion loss, return loss, NEXT/FEXT, mode conversion, and other metrics; and identify anomalous frequency ranges, locations, trends, and sample-to-sample differences.
Defective Sample and Failure Mechanism Analysis
Establish good-versus-failed sample comparisons and reproducible experiments. First eliminate issues related to calibration, connections, fixtures, and test methods, then map failure patterns to potential physical mechanisms. Develop a defective-sample model or testable hypothesis and drive root-cause convergence using cross-sections, dimensional measurements, X-ray/microscopic inspection, or other evidence.
Cross-Functional Technical Support
Provide process and product design engineers with clear, actionable information, including the anomaly location, affected metrics, potential variables, strength of evidence, and recommended validation plans. Participate in DOE, improvement validation, and issue closure without drawing root-cause conclusions from a single curve.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or above in electronic engineering, communications engineering, microelectronics, electromagnetic fields and microwave technology, automation, or a related electronics discipline.
Strong academic foundation and excellent academic performance; able to demonstrate problem-solving ability through coursework, capstone projects, competitions, laboratory experience, or internships.
Testing experience in electronics, electrical engineering, communications, connectors, PCBs, cables, semiconductors, or a related industry; able to explain how test accuracy was ensured, anomalies were identified, and issues were driven to closure.
Understanding of basic circuits, transmission lines, impedance, reflections, loss, crosstalk, differential signaling, and S-parameter concepts; familiarity with the relationship between frequency-domain and time-domain testing.
Proficient in using Excel for data organization, charting, and comparative analysis; able to identify trends, outliers, and repeatability issues across multiple lots and samples.
Clear written and verbal communication skills in Chinese; able to read English technical materials and prepare SOPs, test reports, and issue-analysis summaries in English.
Rigorous and honest in data recording, with strong attention to detail and traceability; demonstrates initiative in learning, hands-on execution, time management, and cross-functional collaboration.
