About the role
We are looking for an ambitious solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in contentious private client work to join our Legacy team as a Contentious Private Client Solicitor at Senior Associate and Associate Partner level.
You will run a caseload of complex, high-value disputes involving wills, trusts and estates, and play a central part in developing the junior lawyers around you. For the right person, this is a clear step towards leadership within the firm.
Why join Laurus
Laurus is a Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 ranked law firm for individuals, working across three practice areas: Property, Family and Legacy. Our Legacy team is growing quickly on the back of continued success, and we are known for developing homegrown talent and doing things differently.
Lead and mentor. Supervise and develop junior solicitors, and contribute to the training of our NQs and trainees, building the experience for future leadership.
Complex casework. Handle high-value contentious matters for high-net-worth clients, from will disputes and Inheritance Act claims to trust and estate litigation.
Shape the future. Work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that rewards ownership and fresh ideas, with an active role in growing the Legacy team.
Legal wellbeing. Join a firm that treats clients as people rather than files, combining strong litigation with skilled out-of-court dispute resolution.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, counsel and referrers.
- Work with the Head of Legacy on departmental strategy, business development and firm-wide projects.
- Maintain rigorous attention to detail and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
