- 5-8+ years' experience in risk, compliance, assurance, financial crime or operational risk within banking or financial services. Ideally, with a track-record of transforming, or materially redesigning a risk or governance function.
- High accountability and discipline to prioritise effectively for self and others
- Strong track record of problem solving, including identifying and implementing practical, innovative solutions that enhance how risk is managed
- Comprehensive knowledge of key financial services regulation and legislation
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex messages to diverse audiences and build credible stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes
- Proven people leadership experience, setting clear strategy and expectations - creating and leading a high-performance culture
- Advantageous but not essential – prior exposure to risk management in financial advice or third-party distribution.
