About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Marketing Trainee supports the execution of marketing, communications, digital content and brand initiatives across the hotel. This role provides hands-on exposure to luxury hospitality marketing while contributing to a wide range of projects and campaigns. The Marketing Trainee reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager.

As Marketing Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Update Sales & Marketing presentations and marketing materials as required.

Create and process MARCOMMS purchase orders and stock requests.

Attend weekly Marketing Meetings and support follow-up actions.

Assist in planning, scheduling and creating content for social media channels, including stories and daily engagement.

Support the implementation and monitoring of paid advertising campaigns.

Take ownership of at least one specific marketing project throughout the entire training period, from planning to execution and evaluation.

Assist in the development, coordination and execution of in-house events, activations and pop-ups.

Support translation and proofreading of marketing materials and communication assets.

Attend and assist during photo and video shoots, ensuring brand standards are maintained.

Update and maintain the Guests Concierge Newsletter with relevant content and experiences.

Collaborate with different departments to gather information and create engaging content that reflects the luxury positioning of the hotel.

Stay informed about hospitality, lifestyle and luxury industry trends to contribute fresh ideas and recommendations.

As Marketing Trainee, we expect from you

• Degree or current studies in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and an eye for luxury branding.
• Good organizational and project management abilities.
• Interest in social media platforms, digital marketing and content creation.
• Highly responsible, proactive and reliable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
• Strong command of English; Spanish is highly valued. Additional languages are a plus.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics or Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative and contribute to innovative marketing projects.
