The Global Supply Chain Technology Sourcing team is responsible for sourcing strategy development, supplier relationship management, and end-to-end commercial execution across Meta's infrastructure domains, including networking hardware, optical components, switching platforms, and custom silicon. As a Commercial Sourcing Manager focused on Network Systems, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for network infrastructure categories, partnering closely with hardware engineering, network architecture, and operations teams to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and supplier readiness at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for network infrastructure categories including switches, routers, optical transceivers, and related components
  • Lead commercial negotiations with network hardware suppliers, including contract structuring, pricing, terms, and long-term supply agreements
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, conducting regular business reviews and driving performance improvements against defined metrics
  • Collaborate with network engineering and hardware architecture teams to align sourcing decisions with technical roadmaps and product requirements
  • Develop and maintain should-cost models for network hardware and components to inform negotiation strategies and make-versus-buy decisions
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks arising from geopolitical factors, single-source dependencies, and market volatility in the networking supply base
  • Analyze market trends, supplier financials, and component availability to inform category strategy and support long-range capacity planning
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on supplier selection decisions, presenting recommendations to engineering, finance, and operations stakeholders
  • Lead supplier qualification and onboarding processes in partnership with quality and operations teams for new network hardware vendors
  • Implement process improvements and analytical frameworks to increase sourcing efficiency, cost transparency, and supply chain resilience across network categories

Minimum qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, or strategic sourcing with a focus on network hardware, data center infrastructure, or related high-technology categories
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex supplier contracts, including pricing structures, supply commitments, and performance terms for hardware or components
  • Experience developing should-cost models and applying cost analysis to support sourcing strategy and supplier negotiations
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance stakeholders in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Experience identifying and managing supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies, lead time variability, and geopolitical supply disruptions

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience applying data analysis tools or AI-assisted workflows to improve sourcing decisions, cost modeling, or supplier performance tracking
  • Familiarity with hyperscale data center network architecture and the supplier ecosystem supporting large-scale network deployments
  • Track record of managing supplier relationships through new product introduction cycles, from early engineering engagement through volume ramp
  • Experience sourcing network-specific hardware categories such as switching platforms, optical transceivers, structured cabling, or custom network silicon
