Microsoft Technology/Software

Surface Solution Area Specialist

United Kingdom Hybrid Full-time

Overview

AI is fundamentally changing how people work and how organisations think about their technology estate. As AI evolves from cloud-only experiences to a hybrid model spanning cloud and on-device intelligence, the endpoint is becoming an increasingly important part of an organisation's AI strategy.

Join Microsoft as a Surface Specialist and help customers prepare their workforce and technology estate for this new era of AI-powered computing. You will lead strategic customer conversations around Surface Copilot+ PCs, Windows 11, Microsoft 365 Copilot and the growing possibilities of local and hybrid AI, helping organisations understand how next-generation devices can unlock new AI experiences, strengthen security and create new ways for employees to work.

At the heart of Copilot+PCs is the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), dedicated silicon designed to efficiently accelerate AI workloads. As more AI experiences move between the cloud and the device, customers need to understand not simply which PC to buy, but how their endpoint strategy can provide the compute, security and user experience required for an AI-enabled workforce. Microsoft describes Copilot+ PCs as anew class of Windows PCs with high-performance NPUs capable of running AI-intensive workloads and experiences directly on the device.

As a Surface Specialist, you will act as a trusted AI and device advisor to technical and business decision makers, helping customers understand where cloud AI, local AI and hybrid AI can deliver the greatest value. You will translate Surface capabilities into real customer outcomes, from productivity and collaboration to security, data control, performance and emerging industry-specific AI scenarios.

You will build and execute strategic account plans, develop and progress pipeline, lead customer engagements and demonstrations, and work across Microsoft's sales, technical and partner ecosystem to accelerate adoption. You will help customers evaluate Surface not simply as a hardware refresh, but as the physical extension of the Microsoft AI platform, bringing together Surface, Windows, Microsoft 365 Copilot, security, management and on-device AI capabilities. This aligns closely with the current internal positioning of Surface as the endpoint for scaling hybrid AI.

Ultimately, your role is to help customers answer a new strategic question: is their device estate ready for the AI workloads, experiences and ways of working that are coming next?

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
