Principal Product Manager

Noida, India In person Full-time

Overview

Role: Principal Product Manager

Shape how the world's businesses experience the value of AI, on mobile

Copilot is becoming the AI companion for how people work, and more of that work now happens on a phone. As Copilot grows more capable, with stronger models, agents and multimodal experiences, the opportunity is to help people and their organizations feel that value at exactly the right moment, so that choosing a paid plan feels like the obvious next step. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead commercial monetization for Copilot on mobile and define what great AI monetization looks like on the screen people carry everywhere.

Why this role, why now

Copilot recently came together as one app across web, desktop and mobile, bringing chat, agents and creation into a single experience for consumers and businesses. Monetization is moving inside the product, where value is felt. Early signals on mobile are solid, and in-app purchase is now live on iOS and Android. The playbook for monetizing AI at this scale is still being written, and you will help write it.

How we work

  • Small, empowered mission team with clear ownership.
  • Every bet starts with a written hypothesis, is measured rigorously, and decisions are made on evidence.
  • AI-native by default: we use AI agents and tools throughout our own workflow to research, prototype, analyze and ship faster.
  • Ship fast, learn faster, scale what works.
  • Trust first: we earn every upgrade.
  • India shapes global strategy here, not just execution.

You'll thrive here if…

  • You treat monetization as product craft, not a pricing afterthought.
  • You form a clear point of view, test it quickly and change it when the data says so.
  • You turn ambiguity into a strategy others can rally around.
  • You align teams you don't manage with clarity, rigor and generosity.
  • You grow product managers and raise the bar on experimentation.
  • You already use AI to work faster and want a team that does the same.
  • This role may not be for you if…
  • You prefer a defined roadmap handed to you.
  • You measure success in features shipped rather than customers who value what they pay for.
  • You would rather wait for perfect data than make a well-reasoned call.

Why join us

Few roles let you shape how AI is experienced and valued by businesses around the world. You will work on a global product with the ownership to set direction, alongside a fast-moving, AI-native team. If building the future of AI monetization on mobile excites you, we would love to meet you.

In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

What you will own

  • As the product leader accountable for commercial monetization on mobile, you set the strategy, choose the best and own the business outcome, from first idea to launch to decision.
  • Paid growth: turn in-app interest into paid Microsoft 365 Copilot subscriptions for businesses of every size.
  • Effortless purchase: experiences that make it simple for people and their organizations to say yes, on any device.
  • The right moment: well-timed, value-led upgrade experiences across Copilot and Microsoft 365 apps on mobile.
  • New ways to buy: shape emerging models, including usage-based offers, as AI capabilities expand.
  • A team and an engine: lead and grow a team of product managers, and partner with engineering, design, data science, marketing and business teams to build an experimentation engine that compounds.
  • Success means measurable growth in paid conversion, subscriptions and revenue, earned in a way customers trust.
  • Your first 30 / 60 / 90 days
  • First 30 days: understand customers, product and data end to end, and build trust with partners across the company.
  • By 60 days: set a clear monetization strategy with prioritized, hypothesis-led bets.
  • By 90 days: first bets live and measured rigorously, with a team rallying around the plan.
