Senior Product Marketing Manager, Security

Atlanta, GA +3 In person Full-time

Overview

Microsoft Security is building a world-class library of practical, actionable, practitioner-focused security guidance for the AI (Artificial Intelligence) era. We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Security to own that guidance as a product: from insight and intake, through co-creation and technical validation, to the reference architecture, labs, and walkthroughs practitioners use to put it into production.

You will orchestrate guidance for Zero Trust for AI and Security imperatives (Get Ready for AI, Secure AI, and Defend with AI). The audience is the security practitioner and architect doing the work.

In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product management, security architects, the Office of the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer), and other Product Marketing Managers to turn Microsoft Security innovation, Zero Trust principles, AI-era security learnings, and SFI (Secure Future Initiative) insights into clear, repeatable, implementable guidance that customers and partners can apply at scale.

You will partner closely with the Product Marketing Manager for the Security Practitioner Audience, who takes your guidance to market and measures its business impact, and alongside the Product Marketing Manager for the CISO audience, who leads the decision-maker narrative.

This is a technical product marketing role. You will be expected to understand architecture, review reference implementations, and communicate and support recommendations with security practitioners. It is a high-impact individual contributor position with broad visibility across Microsoft Security.

Audience

  • This role serves one connected audience set, and candidates with relevant experience supporting these audiences may bring experience in areas such as:
  • Security practitioners and architects implementing Zero Trust for AI, including securing models, agents, data boundaries, and the identity fabric around them.
  • Organizations getting ready for AI, who need a sequenced path from where they are today to a defensible AI deployment.
  • Technical decision makers who seek out practitioner-depth content to decide what to deploy and how. CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) and executive audiences are led by a partner PMM (Product Marketing Manager).

Responsibilities

Own and operationalize the guidance intake model, synthesizing product innovation, customer and field signals, practitioner audience insights, Zero Trust and Zero Trust for AI (Artificial Intelligence) guidance, AI safety and security learnings, and SFI (Secure Future Initiative) insights into a prioritized technical roadmap for each quarterly content wave.

Partner with engineering SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), PMs (Product Managers), security architects, CVC (Customer Value and Experience team), and the Office of the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) to co-create prescriptive guidance using a consistent taxonomy: problem, solution, implementation guidance, and implications.

Build end-to-end guidance for each job to be done that follows the full sequence a practitioner executes across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra, and Microsoft Purview, including the handoffs between products.

Develop hands-on labs, reference architectures, and walkthroughs that move guidance from what to how, including deployment sequencing, configuration, and validation steps a practitioner executes.

Own technical quality and product alignment: coordinate SME reviews for technical accuracy and practitioner relevance before every publication, and map guidance to in-product domains and maturity signals so its impact on deployment can be measured.

Serve as a technical resource for practitioners and architects: present technical sessions and demos at security events (e.g., RSA, Ignite, Build), facilitate workshops, gather direct customer feedback, and incorporate it into the guidance roadmap.
