We are looking for a business Analyst with experience in workforce planning or resource management platforms who can effectively evaluate software solutions, engage stakeholders, and produce detailed, implementation-ready requirements. The successful candidate will be capable of bringing structure to ambiguous situations and ensuring that requirements are documented clearly enough for implementation teams and vendor partners to execute with confidence.
Business Analyst will support the implementation of the Named Allocation Tool, a workforce planning solution designed to provide a 6-to-12-month forward view of named resource allocation across the R&D portfolio. The tool will integrate supply-side information from Workday and Fieldglass with demand planning data, enabling line managers to identify over- and under-allocation, perform gap analysis, and compare productivity across managers and countries.
This role will play a key part in evaluating and comparing two workforce planning solutions, Planisware and Alloc8 (I2E), and will lead detailed requirements gathering for the selected platform. Key Responsibilities Support the side-by-side evaluation of Planisware and Alloc8 against defined business requirements and evaluation criteria. Participate in vendor working sessions and assist stakeholders in assessing tool capabilities.
Validate and refine existing draft requirements documentation with stakeholder and working-group input. Lead detailed requirements gathering activities for the selected workforce planning solution. Translate stakeholder discussions into clear, actionable, and well-documented business requirements. Document requirements and key decisions with sufficient detail for implementation teams and vendor resources to execute without additional clarification.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build alignment and obtain buy-in on requirements and solution decisions. Facilitate workshops and requirements discussions. Required Qualifications Working knowledge of workforce planning or resource management tools, such as Planisware, Alloc8, or similar platforms. Experience evaluating and comparing competing software solutions against established business and functional criteria.
Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation skills. Ability to translate stakeholder discussions into detailed, actionable requirements. Proven stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to drive specific, measurable requirements rather than high-level descriptions. Experience validating and refining existing requirements documentation through stakeholder collaboration. Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Experience within pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations, with familiarity with R&D, regulatory, or biostatistics terminology. Basic understanding of data integration concepts, including data exports and ingestion processes. Familiarity with Confluence for documenting and managing project requirements.
