COBOL-SQL Developer-Designer F/M

THE POSITION

Within our Information Systems Department (approximately 150 employees), we are recruiting a “COBOL-SQL Developer-Designer (F/M)” to support our growth ambitions. The position is based in Nantes (44).

The role consists of participating, as a software developer-designer, in the delivery of projects for a personal insurance contract management application. Project delivery includes requirements analysis with the support of the Business Analysis team (AMOA), development of the components required to implement projects, testing, documentation, and production deployment. The assignment requires strong expertise in the technologies used within the Back-End layer (COBOL / ORACLE).

Your responsibilities will include

Carry out any necessary prototyping

Participate in estimating development workloads

Develop software components in compliance with current standards, with a focus on robustness, maintainability, and the quality of embedded documentation

Perform unit testing and verify non-regression

Identify and address any non-conformities

Ensure software components are made available in the validation environment

Receive and assess non-conformities identified during validation, monitor corrective actions, and verify their relevance

Correct confirmed non-conformities with a focus on non-regression

Ensure software components are made available in the deployment environment in accordance with current procedures

Analyze and carry out preventive, corrective, adaptive, and evolutionary maintenance of existing software components, ensuring all impacts are identified

Handle incidents occurring in production and document action plans to facilitate future resolution

Apply the knowledge and expertise required to resolve technical issues

Document and maintain the technical documentation related to your activities.

The responsibilities associated with this position include compliance with specifications and estimated workloads, ensuring the quality of implemented solutions in terms of robustness, reliability, scalability, and performance, as well as providing relevant reporting to the manager.

PROFILE SOUGHT

You have successful initial experience, up to 5 years, as a developer-designer within rich and complex application environments.

You are proficient in COBOL Micro Focus, Pro*COBOL, SQL, and Oracle technologies, as well as Shell development under Linux and source code management tools such as GitLab. Knowledge of Visual Studio, C#, and WPF would be appreciated.

Analyser et réaliser les maintenances préventives, curatives, adaptatives et évolutives des composants logiciels existants avec le souci d’identifier l’intégralité des impacts , Assurer la correction des éventuelles non-conformités avérées avec le souci de la non régression, Assurer la mise à disposition des composants logiciels dans l’environnement d’homologation, Assurer la mise à disposition des composants logiciels dans l’environnement de déploiement conformément aux procédures en vigueur, Documenter et maintenir la documentation technique inhérente à ses activités, Elaborer le modèle des données optimisé dans le respect de l’état de l’art et des normes en vigueur, Identifier et traiter les éventuelles non conformités, Mobiliser les connaissances et l’expertise nécessaires à la résolution d’un problème, Participer à l’évaluation des charges de développement., Réaliser l’éventuel prototypage, Réaliser l'analyse technique dans le respect des spécifications et des architectures techniques, en prenant en compte l’impact sur l’existant et avec le souci de l’urbanisation, de la sécurité, de l’exploitabilité et de l’évolutivité, Réaliser les composants logiciels dans le respect des normes en vigueur et avec le souci de la robustesse, de la maintenabilité et de qualité de la documentation embarquée., Réaliser les tests unitaires et vérifier leur non régression, Réceptionner et qualifier les non conformités détectées dans le cadre de l’homologation, assure le suivi des corrections et en vérifie la pertinence, Traiter les incidents survenus en production et documenter les plans d’actions pour faciliter le traitement de futurs incidents
