Represented on global standards bodies, Qualitrol is recognized as a trusted advisor shaping the future of grid reliability. For over 80 years, our mission has remained clear: protecting power systems with reliable solutions that keep the lights on.
We are seeking a Sales Compensation & Incentive Analyst to own individual salesperson quota/target-setting together with administration of Qualitrol's Sales Incentive Plan (SIP). These two are deliberately owned by the same seat: quotas set the targets SIP pays against, and keeping target-setting and payout execution together avoids the misalignment that comes from splitting them across two roles. This role ensures reps are paid accurately and on time, resolves compensation exceptions and legacy issues, and partners with Revenue Operations and sales leadership on comp plan design as the sales organization scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own individual salesperson quota/target allocation in direct coordination with SIP design, ensuring targets and incentive execution are built together rather than handed off sequentially.
- Administer monthly SIP payment processing and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness each pay cycle.
- Work with US Finance and Payroll on each payout cycle; the Manager, Revenue Operations signs off quotas and handles escalations with sales leadership.
- Maintain sales credit and project-sharing rules for deals involving multiple reps or teams.
- Support annual comp plan design and communication, including the SIP Plan Communication Document and Compensation Standard.
- Own the new-hire guarantee program, administering and tracking pay guarantees during a new rep's ramp period.
- Resolve compensation exceptions, including special booking and compensation adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve legacy compensation issues, including outstanding partial-pay discrepancies from prior plan years.
- Maintain sales operations compensation policies, exceptions, and audit evidence in support of internal controls and audit requirements.
- Support individual compensation plan updates tied to specific growth targets for select sales roles.
- Advise leadership on the structure and changes to compensation and incentives to drive engagement and outperformance in the sales organization.
Additional Requirements
- Regular availability during agreed hours that overlap the US Eastern workday, for payout cycles, meetings, workshops and sales leadership reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in sales compensation administration, commissions, HR/finance operations, or a related analytical role.
- Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills.
- Experience working with CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Oracle) data.
- High attention to detail and sound judgment handling sensitive compensation information.
- Strong written communication skills, with experience drafting clear plan documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quota-setting, territory allocation, or sales planning in coordination with an incentive plan.
- Experience administering a formal sales incentive compensation management (ICM) tool or process.
- Familiarity with a Salesforce-Oracle integrated environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
