About Nissan and the Digital Media Hub
Nissan is one of the world’s best-known automotive brands, with a long history of innovation and a major presence across Europe and the wider AMIEO region.
OMD supports Nissan through a central Digital Media Hub, bringing together specialist expertise across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic media to support markets across the region. The ambition of the hub is simple: to centralise biddable media where scale creates an advantage, deliver stronger and more consistent performance, and accelerate innovation and learning across markets.
The hub combines onshore, nearshore, and offshore specialists and manages a significant portfolio of digital activity across multiple markets.
The Role
The Executive Director, Performance is responsible for leading one of our EMEA market clusters. You will oversee the delivery of best-in-class media strategies and execution, connecting brand and performance media strategies while ensuring alignment with Nissan’s business priorities.
You will directly manage Channel Directors and Senior Managers, while supporting the leadership and development of their teams of channel specialists. As such, a strong background across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic media is essential. You will define key workstreams, drive executional excellence, and foster innovation and knowledge sharing across EMEA markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Nissan Digital Hub across Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic for your market cluster, contributing to and delivering the performance vision, standards, and priorities for the team in close collaboration with local market teams.
- Deliver high-quality digital activation and performance across cluster markets, ensuring channel strategies, campaign execution, optimisation, and measurement translate into stronger business outcomes.
- Manage key stakeholders across assigned Nissan markets, including client and OMD contacts.
- Directly manage Channel Directors and Senior Managers, while supporting the management and development of their specialist teams.
- Build strong connections and collaboration across local markets.
- Define key priorities and workstreams at both local market and regional levels, partnering with teams to translate strategy into action.
- Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing across OMC teams and agencies supporting Nissan.
- Support and deliver a structured performance acceleration agenda, identifying opportunities within current plans and turning innovation, best practice, and test-and-learn initiatives into scalable roadmaps.
- Identify, test, and deploy technology, automation, and AI solutions that improve campaign performance, productivity, speed, and quality.
- Maintain delivery excellence through strong governance, clear accountability, and proactive management of risk, resource, and performance challenges.
- Take ultimate accountability for activation best practices, platform quality assurance, and campaign delivery, continually improving processes through automation, upskilling, and training.
- Lead team training and development programmes, including objective setting, regular one-to-ones, career development planning, and onboarding of new team members.
- Own billing and invoicing processes for your market cluster, ensuring accurate billing and reconciliation.
- Contribute to the OMD EMEA Performance Community leadership team, helping define agency priorities, supporting key initiatives, and driving knowledge sharing across the business.
