Your impact

As a Billing Coordinator, you will help ensure accurate, timely billing across OpenText’s global order-to-cash process. In this role, you will partner with Sales, Billing Specialists, Revenue, Collections and other key stakeholders to support invoice accuracy, timely order processing and revenue recognition, while using AI, automation and continuous improvement to strengthen billing operations and adapt to evolving systems and regulatory requirements.

What the role offers

Own order processing and invoicing activities, interpreting legal agreements and validating purchase orders to help achieve billing accuracy and time-to-invoice targets.

Confirm revenue recognition requirements are met and help resolve order management and billing issues that could affect cash collection or period-end close.

Support compliance with global e-invoicing, tax, SOX, audit and internal control requirements, including structured electronic invoicing and government reporting platforms.

Use Microsoft Copilot and team-built AI agents to research billing questions, summarise contracts and correspondence, identify at-risk orders and streamline routine work, while validating outputs for accuracy and compliance.

Partner with internal clients and stakeholders across Sales, Revenue, Collections and Billing to resolve inquiries, communicate policies and improve the end-to-end billing experience.

Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and transformation initiatives, including ERP consolidation, integrations and post-go-live stabilisation.

What you need to succeed

A university or college education in a relevant discipline, with Finance or Accounting considered an asset, or equivalent practical experience; ideally combined with at least two years of relevant experience in global billing within software, services or high-tech.

Good working knowledge of ERP and billing systems, with SAP strongly preferred, plus Microsoft 365 and strong Excel and data analysis skills; Salesforce experience is an advantage.

Working knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition concepts, with experience reviewing legal agreements, e-invoicing or country-specific invoicing requirements considered assets.

Confident everyday use of generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to draft, summarise, analyse and find information, including the ability to write effective prompts and critically validate AI-generated outputs.

An understanding of responsible AI use, data privacy, confidentiality and the appropriate handling of client and financial data; experience with or interest in Copilot Studio, Power Automate, AI agents or automation is an asset.

Strong client service, communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, with attention to detail, the ability to perform under tight period-end timelines and a growth mindset suited to a global, multi-site team; multilingual skills are an asset.
